I found this Trek-tacular thing at the grocery store today!

My local Bi-Lo grocery store has finally started to get the Kellogg's cereals in with the Star Trek Badges. I bought two boxes of Froot Loops to see if I could get two different badges, but they both contained the same badge. I now have two of the Starfleet Engineering badges. Pretty cool. :D You depress the button on the side and it puts out a small red beam of light from the top of the badge. The symbol on the front of the badge lights up as well.

I'll have to be on the lookout for the badge promotion on the other Kellogg's cereal boxes now.

I don't have a digital camera, otherwise I would take a pic for you. I did find some images online for you.

The box makes it look like there is a little pad for the badge to stand on, but that is not part of the toy.

That's cool. Thanx!

cereal premuim. boooo

I was over my mom-in-laws house for Easter when I spied a cereal box with Star Trek on the front, laying on top of the trash. I quizzed her emphatically where the premium went. She threw it away! AUUUGGGHHH! Luckily(?) it was right under the box. What a piece of crap.

I don't even know what it is. It's a green emblem/badge of some kind that emits a little green light (that can't be seen unless you're staring into the end of the toy) when you press a button on the front of it. How cheesy. I wanted something cool:(.

Merging this with the other thread about badges and other cereal-related promotions. Stand by...

I bought two boxes of Mini-Wheats.

BOTH had the same badge: the Romulan one.

These promotions are nothing more than cheap advertising and are usless to the regular fans.

The 'Pop Tart free ticket offer' has been released purposely in my opinion on the most fringe varieties--- Chiocolate Banana, Vanilla Milkshake? and not on the flavors that actually sell Strawberry, Blueberry, Cherry.

Then the fine print says allow 90 days for your ticket to arrive.

So they barely penatrate the market, with mostly off-flavors and then tell you you'll get your ticket TWO MONTHS after the movie has opened!!

Wow, thanks a lot.

PS: I saw the Ego trek offer. Buy two packages and then pay $3.99 for a plastic plate.

Odd. While shopping last night, I could have sworn I saw a Star Trek cereal, not a tie in. It had red, yellow and blue marshmallows. :vulcan:

so far i have the science the engineering and the Klingon badges. I just found out that my sister in law has a box with the T shirt offer. Shes bringing it to me I think today. Call me dork but I'm gana order one.

I'm a 48 year-old man who bought a box of cereral for the prize inside. Bought Frosted Flakes yesterday and got the engineering badge. :( I was rooting for the command badge. So, being the mature individual I am, I tried again, today. Bought a box of Froot Loops. AND THERE IT WAS! Command badge! On only the second try! Made my day.

There's a t-shirt offer on some boxes. For so many proof-of-purchases (don't remember how many) you can send in for a t-shirt that looks like one of the uniform shirts.

Its nine (NINE!) proof of purchases. My wife said she won't love me anymore if I get one.
