Will we see the 24th century in the movie?

Yes, we will very likely get a glimpse of the 24th century. But I'm not so sure if it necessarily will be at the beginning of the film.
The writers of the Countdown comics have said that the movie starts exactly where the last comic leaves off so I'd say you will probably have your answer in a few days time.
I'll take a punt and say the movie either starts in the 14th Century or immediately as the Narada crosses into the Kelvin's time zone. The latter would certainly make more sense in terms of filmaking and the flow of the movie. But, perhaps we get to see TOS Spock brining us up to date before the time travel scene.

I am hoping that they make good on the promise on "non-linear" storytelling and start with the Enterprise blowing up all over the Naruto (sorry), and then Kirk escapes onto an Ice planet where Spock helps him go back in time to save the day (Galaxy Quest?), but then we get to see the chain of events that lead up to that point (Citizen Kane?), finally culminating in an achromatic symphony where the Enterprise Goes back in time and just narrowly misses saving the Kelvin (Or rather they planned on saving the Kelvin but then when they got there Kirk has to make A HARD CHOICE(TM) and doesn't reboot the timeline after all), and then everyone on the bridge laughs at young Spock's expense while an exterior shot shows the JJprise making a slow starbord turn. ROLL CREDITS.

It might be better to say that the story begins in the 24th century with Nero and Spock, etc. Since we've been told that the movie will present the story in non-linear fashion, what we see at the start of the movie is not necessarily the same as the beginning of the story. Either way, we don't know yet for certain.
Honestly, when I never have to see anything set in Star Trek's 24th century again, I'll die a content man...
In the year 2386(seven years later)if the COUNTDOWN stardates in the 63000-range are to be considered canonical with the actual movie.
This is exactly how I expect the film to open. All the 24th century stuff will be told in flashback I reckon.
Which is fine by me, unless the opening shots are a "real-time" depiction of Spock in his timeship fleeing from the Narada a'la the Tantive IV Blockade Runner and Star Destroyer from the start of the original STAR WARS and we join the action in progress?
