I found this Trek-tacular thing at the grocery store today!

Haven't seen any TREK cereal or snack boxes just yet, but then I haven't made my weekend grocery run yet and won't until sometime tomorrow. Maybe they're already on my local Food Lion and Kroger shelves and I just haven't spotted them yet.
I live near the home offices of Food Lion. I'll ask about it. But crap I miss Kroger stores. You could get all the good stuff there.

Even STAR WARS action figures. Right now my local stores sell the comic book two-packs with reprinted, classic graphic novels as well as two(often new, original)figures for just $11.99 before tax.

I went to Wal-Mart last night and found a Frosted Flakes box with a Trek tie-in. They're offering a 1GB flash drive with the Star Fleet logo on it free with 8 box tops, or $7.99 with one box top.

I gotta have it! I don't even eat Frosted Flakes, but I bought that box. I guess tie-ins really do work on easily-swayed trekkies like me, huh? :rommie:

WHAT! My frosted flakes don't have any offers. No fair. Gata find that I need a flash drive anyway.

Does anyone know if these promos are going to be offered in Australia? I thought with the World Premiere of Trek XI at the Sydney Opera House on April 7, there might be a possibility...

Anyway, I just wanted a heads up. I'll check the cereal aisle on Friday afternoon. I wouldn't mind getting one of those light-up comm badges that are supposed to be in Frosted Flakes.

Yeah, I might have to watch out for those light-up comm badges, too... you know, in passing interest only.

Damn you, Tony the Tiger!

Saw my very first TREK food item late last night! A cereal box, similar to some of the pics at the start of this thread. Didn't have the cash on me to pick anything up at that moment(and it was a cereal I'm not crazy about)but will be keeping my eyes peeled for more stuff.

That's pretty neat! I found another Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Trek item at the grocery store today.

You mail in to get a 1GB Star Trek flash drive wristband. :D

I ended up getting the cereal.

I also saw some Pop-Tarts that had the promo for a movie ticket (would need five boxes/tokens). I passed on that one because of the flavor. Hopefully others will come in soon.

I haven't found any Eggos yet.

Edit: I see someone else on the thread found the Flash drive Frosted Flakes too. :)

We have Frosted Flakes? I know we don't get Pop Tarts any more.

I can't believe all of the tie-ins they are doing for this flick. TPTB really do want it to succeed. Damn, I'm probably going to have to go and buy a box of Frosted Flakes now.

I found the Eggo's yesterday with the 3d plate. One more box to get and Ill be sending away for it. :bolian:

3rd plate??? Hell I haven't even seen a box touting the 1st one yet!

Do you mind telling me where are you shopping?

No matter how the movie does I'll be buying a couple of boxes of these for my "collection of crap". I'm going to the grocery store tonight anyway so I'm glad I saw this thread...I hadn't planned on hittin the cereal aisle but now it's on the list.

Here's a quick pic I took of the back of the box.

Maybe Kroger stores will carry STAR TREK movie action figures and toys the way they did a lot of Indiana Jones stuff last summer when Indy #4 came out? I dunno if Playmates/Art Asylum/whomever has the TREK XI license for action figures has a contract to sell product with places like supermarkets, but it'd be awesome to walk into Kroger in May or June and see Kirk, Spock, Nero and other characters hanging on a special display.

I got my Engineering light-up badge yesterday in a box of Frosted Flakes. Like I needed an excuse to eat Frosted Flakes...

I haven't seen the Trek Eggo Waffles yet, but at my local Meijer they had Eggo Pancakes with the Trek plate offer
