Main Entry:dis·cus·sion Pronunciation: \di-ˈskə-shən\
Function:noun
1 : consideration of a question in open and usually informal debate
2 : a formal treatment of a topic in speech or writing
Looks like a discussion to me.
No, it looks like baiting to me.
Consideration of
a question? Let's have a look.
Here's one question in the OP:
Nero's ship obviously gets sucked into a blackhole. I can't believe they showed it on a trailer.

But I suppose it was obvious.

And then, in the next post, a complete non-sequitur:
[spoiler "how the film STARTS:"]In the trailer we see a planet being destroyed, it is my theory that it is the destruction of Vulcan sometime in the 2380's and that's why Spock goes back in time, he goes back to try and stop Nero destroying Vulcan but ends up in the 23rd century and so does Nero after he goes after Spock. In the 23rd century however Nero goes after Earth and fires at San Francisco with his weapon.[/ spoiler]
Whaen this is pointed out, you reply with this:
and that's what the film is about. Why else would we see the destruction of a planet? it makes sense that it's Vulcan of the 2380's and it gives a good enough reason why Spock time travels and Nero goes after him.
which answers nothing.
And then:
...
This thread is about Neros defeat AND the start of the film.
What point are you trying to make here? am I not allowed to express my different theories?
If you have a problem with me posting both my theories can you explain why please?
you admit yourself that this isn't a discussion of one question, but a place for you to express your "different" (and still apparently unrelated) "theories", which aren't theories at all, but rather a disjointed collection of assertions, thrown out willy-nilly, with little attempt given to explaining them either separately or together.
Oh, and here's a new one, of which you somehow managed not to have heard before...
This isn't in regard to this thread but i've just come across something called Star Trek: Countdown, supposedly it's a comic book prequel to the new movie, info
HERE.
First i've heard of it.
...despite the fact that it's been the subject of much discussion in several forums over the last several months, and you just thought you'd throw that in here, too, did you? Beginning to look like
Tachy's Random Grab Bag, at this point.
Other posters recognize this, so you begin to taunt, in a condescending manner:
...
Angles my dear watson, ANGLES!
So you're the resident Star Trek Reboot Black Hole CGI expert are you.
Do you not know the difference between video footage and concept art?
...
...and taunt and taunt, making it pretty evident that you didn't come here to discuss any one question, but rather to wind everyone up with a load of scattershot nonsense and insults, as has been your habit before in other forums. That may work for you in TNZ, but it's worn out its welcome here.
Thread closed. Warning for trolling. Comments to PM.
Stated sincerely and about three pages earlier, this might have meant something. Here, it's too late and just one more taunt. Take it to TNZ, or take it off the board altogether, but don't bring it here any more; we don't want any.
