Hi

Star Trek Magazine will be releasing the first of our three movie-related issues very shortly in the US, and early April in the UK. This issue, 17 in the US, includes a very detailed interview with Paramount Pictures production executive explaining why Paramount went with J.J. and co to create the new Star Trek movie; casting director April Webster talking about each of the main cast members and why the actors were chosen; production designer Scott Chambliss revealing the logic behind the redesign of the Enterprise, and the concepts behind the Narada; and Bad Robot's Bryan Burk explaining exactly why everything has been kept so much under wraps.
Add in a tribute to computer voice Majel Barrett Roddenberry, as well as pull out posters of the monochrome Spock and Kirk images, and it's a full package.
Released the weekend of the movie is our Movie Souvenir Issue with exclusive access to all the key players in front of the cameras talking in detail about the movie, as well as an on set diary from someone with a link to old and new Star Trek... That issue will be available in US and UK simultaneously.

I want the movie souvenir issue and the Star Trek Magazine movie-esque edition seems like it will have lots of interesting features.

Why not say it's Nimoy? Why so cryptic? Because it's Shatner? Huh? Because it's Shatner? I just know it's Shatner. He really is in it. (OK, just stirring things up for old times sake. ;))

Actually, I've found myself checking the magazine racks lately for any print news on the movie. You can bet I'll be looking for these issues. Cool stuff.

I think it's time for a new "Will Shatner be in Trek XI ?" thread.

We haven't had one for a long time now :p:D

It's probably John Eaves.

It's not Nimoy or Shatner.

Thanks Paul! I haven't consistently purchased your magazine but I have enjoyed it when I did.

RAMA

I realise that the magazine had to change focus and essentially become an American targeted publication to survive but I really miss the old UK based magazine.
It's become increasingly irrellevant to me as a reader.
Paper thin and full of ads for conventions going on in California and elsewhere in the US, it really puts me off buying it.
It's nearly 10 euros here and I just can't justify that for news that's months out of date and the entire american feel to it.
