Trek Lit Limericks

In Turbolift Four, Wesley found
A nanite that weighed a full pound.

(Is that how you spell "nanite"? I'll check around after I post this, and if it's wrong, I'll try to correct it before anybody quotes me.)

A Ferengi named Quark ate an orange;
Cautious, its rind he did gently attinge.
Wary of Constable Odo,
Whom he judged to be no dodo,
He found the Changeling masked as a door hinge.

I won't give you "attinge"....but you get full credit for "door hinge." *bing bing bing*

Come on now...attinge is a word, a verb meaning "to touch." What the heck else was I going to do with orange?

Sporange.

While wrestling with 3 Ceti eels...
The tribble wondered, 'Where were their achilles heels?'
So it trilled and it purred
And the eels said, "My word!"
And then enjoyed tribblefree meals.

(Yeah, I don't get it, either, but I got the pun in.)

While fandancing wild, Uhura

^ I got yer sporange right here, buddy.

And Uhura? Uhura?!?

All right.

While fandancing wild, Uhura
Managed to injure her dura.
She stayed on her feet
Still moved to the beat,
Finally resting on the caesura.

^^^^ As a 30+ year lyricist and composer, I salute you, sir!!!! That's a rhyme even Stephen Sondheim would envy!

A singing lieutenant named Riley

A singing lieutenant named Riley
Butchered meter, alas, rather vilely
Psi spun on the screen
As Kev took home Kathleen
(At least he did not sing like Miley!)

When Shatner told fans "Get a Life!"

^ And to think that we're doing this for free.
Just consider how rich we could be
A Trek limerick book
Would be quite a hook
As long as 'twas in Klingonii.

Oh, wasn't that an opening line? :) {ProfJonathan}

^ It is now! I actually hadn't noticed that I'd supplied the correct meter.

Either that or I am astonishingly intuitive when it comes to poetic meter. I'd bet on the first one if I were you, though.
