Frankly, if the model doesn't end up looking like this...
... when assembled, then it defeats the whole purpose of having a model that size!
Personally, I hope the kit isn't quite that fuzzy.

True. Painting something that blurred would be a bitch.Frankly, if the model doesn't end up looking like this...

Some people just don't appreciate the Cybill Shepherd/Maddie Hayes style of photography.Personally, I hope the kit isn't quite that fuzzy.
No, that is the real original (by about a month) model of the Enterprise... the 33" model as seen in "Requiem for Methuselah".is this^ the Master replicas ENT![]()
OOWWWW! Okay I did not know that I thought they had ALWAYS used the 11 ft^^ Nope. Those are screen captures of the original 33in. filming miniature made when "The Cage" was being produced. In these shots they used the model in the episode "Requiem For Methuselah" when Flint was demonstrating his technological abilities. You can see the distinctive saucer shape here which is quite different from the 11ft. filming E. And you can also see that by this point the model's hangar doors had been misplaced or lost somewhere.
Yeah I could see that nowSome people just don't appreciate the Cybill Shepherd/Maddie Hayes style of photography.Personally, I hope the kit isn't quite that fuzzy.

For me all other display models of the Enterprise have been measured by how this one looked in that episode. So having a model more like the 11 foot model is actually moving away from how that model looked in that episode.
Edit: Yeah... what Warped9 just said.
I don't know about a TOS Enterprsie, but I know theres a 1:350 TMP version & a new 1:1400 1701-E versions been released.
Heres the link as you may wanna check them out

It's the same kit, nothing pre-painted or anything, just with some minor tweaks. The clear rods from the stand are gone, replaced with a single metal rod that goes into the bottom of the secondary hull. The kit now includes aztec decals if you don't have the skill, time or patience for painting. There's also supposed to be a second stand included to display the shuttle hanger outside the kit as a separate piece instead of building it into the ship.
