Any news from the NY Comic Con?

^ It was. Apparently nothing new was announced... not too surprising, since Margaret spilled a lot in her TrekMovie.com interview just a few weeks ago.

There's a tiny bit of new about IDW from Newsarama. Apparently they're doing something with the Romulans related to the new movie, possibly as one of the Alien Spotlight issues coming soon, though the wording isn't entirely clear to me.

I'm not surprised, but TrekLit as a whole is still behind 'Countdown' by close to a decade. I am really interested in the comic's explanation for how Data is alive and still himself.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about all the reveals in that TrekMovie article.

When is Shore Leave again?

Precisely. The only thing left to announce is the novelization.

The article was, as best I can tell, worded poorly. (It's Newsarama, like that's a surprise.) The Alien Spotlights Version 2.0 specials have been in the pipeline for a long while, long before IDW started thinking about a movie tie-in with Countdown. The only tie-in between this Romulans one-and-done and the movie is that they both have Romulans in them, and the one-and-done gets some synergy in the comics shops from movie-goers. ;)

Humor is in the eye of the beholder and for me there were no humor in that.

Where as many an individual, like my self actually would find that comment funny, although a tad concerning.

Then I assume that you would find it funny as well if the arguments started up again due to provocation such as these. I'll remember that.

No, I would find them concerning as they are circular, futile and ultimately pointless!

And provokating people who like Janeway with statements such as those aren't 'circular, futile and ultimately pointless'?

For Gods sack man, it was a joke, yes maybe you didn't find it funny, but others will and I did. As for my comment being circular, nope, nadda; futile and ultimately pointless, yes, I agree and not wanting to "provoke" you even more by stating my opinion, I like you am entitled to it, as are you entitled to your opinion, but if someone wants to make a joke about it, because it is really really is circular, futile and ultimately pointless, then I will find such commenting funny as I get the joke! Must be a British thing and understanding and/or utilising irony :bolian:
