The new 2 1/2 foot Millennium Falcon from Hasbro on sale a Fred Meyer, along with 3 figures. The damn box barely fit in my room mate's back seat. lol.

I bought a new coffee table yesterday. The old one was a piece of shit pressboard table from my grad school days.

I'm in the process of slowly but surely replacing all the crappy furniture in my house with nice hardwood stuff.

I bought Boondock Saints, a wireless-n router, and a space heater.....all on Amazon.

Damn that site is diversifying.

I think their current strategy is to be a massive "clearing house" operation.

Shrewd strategy, leveraging both the scale of their existing logistics operation & the scale of their online footprint.

I think the biggest risk is that if the companies using them as a marketplace have poor products/customer service, then Amazon gets tarred by association. Still, provided they have good vetting systems in place, it should be a very profitable arrangement - they'll take a rake on everything sold through them, for very little work.

I felt like a crackhead. :D

I'm sure the crackhead appreciated it. :D

Bought a few Annie Lennox songs for my MP3 player.

Walking on Broken Glass is one of my favourite tunes.

I do absolutely love this song too, especially the strings and the harpsichord...it is so well put together.

I can't help singing along to it. :o

Aside from some of her other older classics, I liked the song she did for Lord of the Rings. Rather, I love the beat they use from in the movie when Sam picks up Frodo. A perfect choice for that moment.

Thai lunch for myself and a lady. :)

Tipping the waitress doesn't count as buying her lunch. :p

^ You can't say that and not post pics!

Unfortunately, shortly after I posted I had run off for a nordic ski event called the Luminary Loppet. (Actually, I just like to say Loppet).

Since then my evil genius of a puppy has figured out a way to get rid of the cute little bandana they put on him. Next time I'm taking a camera to the groomer's with me to capture that perfectly groomed moment before he gets into something. ;)

My latest purchase is a bowl of chicken wild rice soup and two beers post-Loppet. :)

A 27" Sony Bravia TV for my bedroom to replace my LCD TV that I thought was broken.

Then after getting the new TV, there seems to be nothing wrong with the original...what a pisser.

I've long since learned that if I want to buy anything, I should check Amazon first. I've bought Halloween costumes, passport covers, and an umbrella from them with no problem.

Went to the outlet mall and bought some shoes for work. Nice, comfy supportive shoes from Clark's. :bolian:

I just bought a very nice new blazer. Joseph Abboud, in charcoal grey with an almost houndstooth pattern. Plan on wearing it when I take my gf out on Valentine's day. -- RR

You always shatter my dreams. :(

It's what I do. And I'm very professional about it.

These are rather nice.

Clarks are overpriced for their quality at regular retail (esp. the men's range) but since you got them at an outlet mall, I'm guessing you found yourself a great deal. 3 pairs in one haul is the mark of a dedicated shopper! I like a kindred spirit. :D

Pink 'ruffled tuxedo' blouse

The 80s are back, and this time, they're pink. ;)

Sounds fun; any pics?

Those are the comfiest of the three. I can't wait to wear them to work.

Yeah, $110-120 for a pair of shoes is way too high for them. I got them for about half off. :D

I just bought a few dozen toy dinosaurs and 16 pounds of self-hardening clay. My students are studying dinosaurs and we're visiting the AMNH on Thursday (so much fun!), so I thought we'd make our own fossils! We'll impress our little dinosaurs, some feathers, and shells into the clay, and paint them when they dry. It'll be a great project for the little ones!

my partner bought some quality street choccies a big bag of the from her work must be 5 kg in there, well was a couple of hours ago about 2 pound left now

I haven't bought much recently. It's my last semester of college and I'm saving money wherever possible. But my friends and I went into San Francisco yesterday, so I did pick up a couple of things. In Japan Town I found a CD I've wanted for a while. Ishikawa Chiaki - "Boku wa Mada Nanimo Shiranai" ("I still know nothing"), and it's great. She has a singing style that is reminiscent of my favorite Japanese band, Garnet Crow, and thankfully a voice that is similarly not too high-pitched. I've listened to the whole thing a number of times now, but I've fallen in love with two songs in particular. I found them on Youtube, in case anyone is interested.

"Mislead" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_4B-HXiKw0
"Uninstall" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNCXiMt1bR4

I also picked up two volumes of the reprinted The Onion books at Half-Priced Books. They were actually a little less than half-price each, which is how I could justify buying stuff I can read on the computer for free. But my class schedule is annoying this semester, and I have a number of hour-long breaks that don't give me enough time to walk back to where I live. So I've been doing a lot more reading lately and I'm sick of just reading for my classes.

I also bought a set of poker chips. My friends and I have been playing a bit of poker recently, but all the "chips" we have been using end up being edible (mostly it's left over Halloween candy) so we keep ending games with a lot less currency than we started with.

A cross over ethernet cable, and UCB cable for my printer, some black ink, new running glooves, running head band, and a new short sleeve technical shirt.

Can I be in your class ? It sounds so much more fun than when I was little. :D

Dinos, eh? Sounds cool. You will have to give them the right dialogue, though. ;)

"This is a fertile land and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land and we will call it...This Land."
"I think we should call it your grave!"
"Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
"Ha ha ha, mine is an evil laugh!"
