Did you try the next size down? Might be too tight, but might be a better fit. If it were me, I'd probably want to try it on & check. Nice style to that jacket though.

Part of the issue, I think, is I didn't pull down the right side all the way before taking that pic. The jacket I bought is a medium long; the medium regular is definitely too short. I generally size a 36L or 37R for sport coats; a variant of this jacket (same pattern but different pockets) in 36 (equivalent to the maker's "small") was way too tight. The medium sizes to around a 38-40 based on their sizing chart, so I think I'm in the right place. This manufacturer is known to be a tad "blousy" with the sizing, but the jacket should fit a bit better once broken in.

Guess that means I have to wear it! ;)

By the way, I want to see you in a Schott Perfecto. ;)

I do go through phases of wanting a leather jacket, but a) I find them all really expensive; b) I don't think they really vibe with my general style; and c) I'd have to find a leather specialist to shorten the sleeves, which is an added cost.

Still, one day. Belstaff Panthers are way cool. I also found a couple of RRL leather jackets that are pretty funky with some nice distressing too.

I'm not a fan of artificial distressing, though. Either go with vintage pre-distressed leather or add your own distressing.

That's what I do with my leather trousers.

Not.

You need YEARS of wearing to get your own. I don't wear stuff frequently enough to get it the natural way. :D

I'm reminded of the episode of Friends with Ross and his new black leather trousers....

Queen! ;)

This jacket was about $250 OTR and is built to the A-2 milspec, but with added side-entry handwarmer pockets and inner pocket. I like pockets. For a bespoke leather jacket, you'd probably start at $400 and go up from there. Fairly local to you are Aero in the north country (highly prized, but priced accordingly) and Wested (rumor has it that their jackets are a bit fragile, though). I was lucky that US Wings' retail location is a short drive from where I live, so I was able to try before I bought, which is critical, I think, for clothing.

I wonder if leather trousers develop hige (pronounced hee-gay, appropriately enough)? :p

^ You can't say that and not post pics!

My most recent purchase was probably lots of food at the grocery store. Trying to pick up stuff that's a little better for me and phase out a lot of the junk I currently eat.

Yeah, I've heard they're meant to be good. and Wested (rumor has it that their jackets are a bit fragile, though).

Bought a few Annie Lennox songs for my MP3 player.

Walking on Broken Glass is one of my favourite tunes.

Thanks to my new friends on the Due South messageboard, I've been craving salt and vinegar chips since about 10:30 last night.

I went to Target and got a bag. Went to the car, unlocked it, sat down, tore open the bag and started devouring them. I felt like a crackhead. :D

I bought Boondock Saints, a wireless-n router, and a space heater.....all on Amazon.

Damn that site is diversifying.

I do absolutely love this song too, especially the strings and the harpsichord...it is so well put together. She is a pretty amazing artist.

Today I bought delicious black raspberries, BOGO/free :) and at the local organic store they had blueberries at a $1.00 a pint. We had fruit salad and homemade blueberry pancakes. Delicious.
