If the mainstream Mormon church says these offshoots aren't Mormon...they aren't. That's the end of it, really.
Any church body has the authority to say whether or not a group *claiming* membership in that church actually has the right to do so. LDS leadership, for example, has the near-absolute right to say who is a Mormon and who is not; the Episcopal Church has a similar right to not recognize these breakaway groups who quit because of the Robinson thing; etc.
In general, you can't break away from a group and yet still lay claim to membership in that group. Kind of like the Maquis and the Federation.![]()

I said before that I don't see how pornography could be made illegal altogether and I am not sure how much it would accomplish if it was.

Well like I said in the post you quoted, I don't see how they could make pornography illegal or how they would enforce it, but I would certainly push for measures that make it harder to obtain, especially harder to stumble upon accidently like on the internet, not necessarily criminalize it though.

J, you've got to remember that people murdering each other in Law and Order three times a week is fine. People standing in a ring fighting each other and possibly inflicting serious brain damage on one another is fine. People running around torturing others to find out where Habib Marwan is is fine. Television shows encouraging you to eat more than you need to live are fine.

Unlikely, the truth still stands that many of you are not even willing to admit the damage it does to your selves. All that pornography does is put the body and its passions at the forefront and makes you subject to those desires.
Your refusal to quit it even for a time is proof enough that is thing to be avoided.
