The sphere Daedalus. You don't like it. I think he thinks this is just an exercise in promoting your dislike for it. Personally, I'm still interested in seeing your design actualized.

It's not so much that I don't like it, it's that it really doesn't fit in the design lineage anymore, and with the Romulan War looming in between ENT and TOS, it presupposes that Starfleet is going to go with a proven design, beefed up somewhat, and that, to my mind, says a further development of the NX class into something a bit more familiar, with the addition of a secondary hull, larger warp core, and larger nacelles than I've got on the thing so far.

Which is why I think it's a worthwhile endeavor that I'm eager to see the fully realized product of, good Captain.
