My 20" Aiwa CRT TV died a few months ago. I'm getting it replaced with something this Christmas as a gift from the folks. I'm hoping for one of those up-to-19" Flatscreen LCD TV's with some HD capacity that I saw at Target a few weeks ago. They were all $300 or less so, it should be affordable.

It was the first thing I purchased when I moved out on my own...

Yeah, same here. For a couple of weeks or so I had a TV but no couch in the living room.

I use my computer to watch tv shows on. It's much more useful and versatile and gives me much better bang for my buck. I could live for months on what some people spend on a TV.

I remember my wega set me back about $965 after taxes and such!
More expensive than some plasmas are today!

I think mine was around $600. It could be faulty memory. I got it at Sears where they may have simply had a more competitive price.

A 32" Vizio is around $600.

I have a 32 inch picture tube based t.v.
I can't afford a flat screen or HD television. I don't see ever being able to afford to upgrade to high def.
I mean I have to save money to be able to afford DVD's I want.

And there were some 32" tv's for under $400 recently!

I'm still getting good service from my telly I bought back in '93. I have cable now (thanks to having to move and my condo includes cable in the monthly fee). When my set dies I'll upgrade.

Couple of 25" TVs, couple of 19" monitors, all CRT.

The Australian Govt is insisting we all move to digital soon. May have to get something then.

I think prices are pretty good, especially considering the sizes of these things. Took me awhile to upgrade to HDTV, but it was well worth it.

Yeah....but it's a Vizio.

I have a 23" Samsung LCD, but really want to upgrade to at least a 32" but will wait until the new LED backlit sets make it into mainstream.

HD sucks.

I don't have one yet. I will upgrade when my tv goes. I don't have nor need to spend them money right now.
