Letter to Obama...

I just sent him the URL via his transition site's 'Your Vision' page.

Here's the text of the message...

I have a lot of concerns about our beloved republic. So, I wrote an open letter to our new President-Elect and placed it on a special page of my website. That page can be seen at this URL:

I hope this gives our next Commander-in-Chief a few helpful hints and ideas on how to solve some of our country's pressing problems.

Sincerely,

[Name removed for privacy and security reasons]
Proud American
We'll see how this goes...

There's so many Things wrong with Your Letter that I can barely get into them, but Don't capitalize Words Randomly in the middle of sentences.

As for the content, I particularly like how you advocate replacing the income tax with a 1 to 5 percent sales tax. And how you want your horrific school system to remain just as shitty and inefficient? And then, and then how you say that the government shouldn't spend money it doesn't have, but it should hand over tens of billions of dollars to that auto industry, which should then be forced to fuck over everyone who's worked for them! :guffaw: Oooh oooh and then when you think that the USA has any real quantities of oil to drill? :guffaw: And I haven't even got to the bits where you prefer to have no medical insurance, instead of adopting a system that's cheaper for both the people and the government that covers a greater percentage of the population, where you want to destroy the social safety net and where you want the US military to develop an army of Daleks to invade the middle east.

Do you perchance write for Stephen Colbert?

You could've just said

"Dear Obama,

Be a right-wing Republican.

Thanks,
Some guy from the Internet"

And saved yourself a bunch of time.

I hear horror stories about Canadians having to fill out forms and wait three weeks to see doctors. Hearing stories like that makes this idea more and more abhorrent each time it crosses my mind. The fact that some Canadians also travel to the U.S. to get critical surgeries that their government won't pay for is also quite scary.

This is just such utter b.s. Why do Americans not understand our healthcare system? It works. I've never NEVER had to wait to see my or any other doctor. Both my parents have had cancer, and both their surgeries were within a very reasonable time frame.

No one I know ever went into debt for getting sick. How 'bout you?

I gotta say, it takes ball to list a TrekBBS thread in your works cited. If that doesn't get academia to take you seriously, I don't what will get those left-wing bastards to change their mind.

Here's the letter, on a special page of my site...

I can't tell if you're Ron Paul or Karl Marx

Also, who would object to paying an extra few dollars on an item that will already cost one hundred dollars anyway?
uh, people who count their pennies to put food on the table. Nice elitism though.

Well production of more domestic oil is estimated to take 10 years and is much less than what we consume and would be as polluting, so I think the focus should be on cleaner, renewable sources.

Boy, I bet Obama's just kicking himself that he already chose a Chief of Staff before reading this letter.

Please continue President Bush's unrelenting War against Terrorism and exterminate as many Terrorists as possible. Brainwashing people into blowing themselves up is bad enough but, calling you (and Secretary Rice) a 'House Negro' is just plain reprehensible. It's not even a very original insult either. That deserves a rather terrible reprisal, in my less than humble opinion. Such talk also demonstrates a very clear lack of any kind of redeeming quality in the character of these Terrorist Thugs. Besides, it's not like we can reason with these fanatics. When someone is determined (and thinks it's their God-given mission in life) to kill you, you don't ask him why. You kill him first and consider yourself lucky that you survived.
You know, I can sort of tolerate the mass murder, massive property destruction, and economic damage that are par for the course in a terrorist jihad, but when the enemy starts calling names, they've gone entirely TOO FAR.

I am tired of playing the glue to their rubber, Mr. President. We must strike back fast and hard, and make them remember that the United States is not a nation of bootie lickers covered in cooties, but rather a nation wrapped in awesome and infested with freedom. We must launch "Operation Al-Qaeda Mo Meda Banana Fana Fo Feda" with extreme prejudice before the terrorist's sphere of influence spreads beyond the tetherball court to the rest of the playground.

Signed, Anonymous (you can see my name in the other letter).

So, you basically want him to abandon his ideas and platforms and adpot those of John McCain.

OF COURSE HE'LL DO IT!!!

it's funny because it's true.

John McCain advocated socialism by wanting the government to buy up people's homes, and now so does msbae by wanted the government to give money to the big 3 AND dictate who they can have on their board of directors.

Cause ya, I really want the government to own the means of production. and if that's not socialism, I don't know what is.
