Oh, I understand that, but I think it was after the announcement of Robau, that Faran Tahir stated it was nice that they would have a Pakistani captain. Hmm, more of a shock than a disappointment I guess. To me it doesn't really matter, like you said more of a detail I noticed.

There is one quoted passage in one of the early articles (second-oldest in the link above) which could be read as talking about a captain who's of Middle-Eastern descent, but most of the rest of what I see is him talking about how ethnicity isn't a factor in the part.
