One Scene, One Line...

2 of 10

If you could take just one scene and one line of Dialog from Voyager, which one would you choose, there are so many to consider, for what's it worth I like one from Unimatrix Zero Pt 1..

The Borg Queen is trying to convince Janeway not to help out the drones in the Unimatrix, when Janeway refuses, the BQ look at Harry and states. "We'll be seeing you soon Harry" the look on his face says it all...

Resistance is Futile

Janeway in The Void: "Vultures eat the dead Mr Paris. We're not dead yet."

"Yes, it's...fun." - Borg Queen to the little boy who asks if being a Borg is fun.

Great episodes, those two.

"Time's up!" from Year of Hell, part 2, just before Janeway rams Voyager into the Krenim ship.

In Basics, where the EMH's program is inadvertently projected into space and he yells, "MAN OVERBOARD!"

In that case, I'll take The Doctor's comment from "Time And Again" when Kes and Neelix has informed him about the latest events, among them the fact that Captain Janeway is missing on the planet:

"It seems I've found myself on a voyage of the damned"

Quite appropriate, isn't it? ;)

This line was great. One of the best from that season, IMO.

I also liked the Doctor's line "Tally Ho!" while waving a Klingon knife around after the crew had been freed from their holodeck induced personas when he and Neelix were bing herded off to battle by the Klingons when the Hirodators took over the ship. I can not recall the episode name off the top of my head and I'm too lazy to go look it up. :p

"It was a mild shock. He will recover."

When Seven shocks the Hirogen unconscious in Message in a Bottle. That whole scene with her, Janeway, and Torres is pretty funny.

One moment I always liked was during "Resolutions" when Janeway is in the bathtub and yells to Chakotay "Chakotay, are you in there?" and he replies "No, I left an hour ago!"

In Bride of Chaotica, when Tom Paris coaches Captain Janeway to play Arachnia. "It doesn't hurt to use words like [emphasis]" (sorry, no complete quote) and how she plays the game.

In Year of Hell, when they eat the awful pot luck soup Neelix prepared and Seve says, "It is offensive. Fortunately, taste is irrelevant."

Or in Elogium, when the ship had attracted a space-dwelling giant creature I think, and Tuvok says, "It appears we have lost out sex appeal, Captain." (It's in somebody's signature.)
Followed by Janeway's line: Janeway: "Good work, Commander. In the future, if I have any questions about mating behavior, I'll know where to go."

And do what with the one scene and one line? Frame it? Delete it? Change it?

But anyways... I guess you mean one scene we like?

There are many to choose from, so mine for today will be from Season 4 Ep. 20 (Vis a Vis)

Some alien inhabited Tom Paris' body, and is trying to convince everyone he's himself. After reporting to sickbay for duty and not knowing how to work the medical equipment, improvises an "I suck, you're awesome" speech to the doctor, to which the good doc replies,

"I had no idea my superior abilities were affecting your psyche so strongly!"

Awesome.
