NHL 2008-2009 Discussion!

Well, the Predators cannot seem to get ahead. Everytime I think that they are going to ride some momentum, they lose big. Good news though, I was able to get six lower level tickets from my wife's work for only a little over $100 through a special promotion. That will be three games this season we will be able to go to without having to sit high up in the Sommet Center. Honestly, the upper section is where all of the craziest fans are sothat is where most of the fun is. Now, to find out which games to go to....

While I'm glad the Canucks beat Nashville Tuesday night, I do like the Preds. I was hoping that when I got to see the Thrashers in Atlanta, they'd be playing the Predators ... I got the Wild instead. And a Wild victory at that. :(

What a great comeback attempt by the Oilers in Pittsburgh. Coming back from a 5-0 deficit to just narrowly lose 5-4. That being said, the Oilers have now allowed something like 13 or 14 goals in the last 3 games.

Well, looks like the Preds are going to have another terrible night against Calgary....4-0 at the end of the first. Maybe they can turn it around....hopefully. Hopefully Dumont is all right...that looked like a rough hit.

The sad thing is is that CFR tonight was so boring I wound up watching the hockey game at work...and i was talking to the people who were there to see the rodeo about it.

Actually, I had more people asking me for oilers stuff than anything O.o

The first mistake was watching a rodeo in the first place. :p

I got paid to go! Damn this working for a company contracted by Northlands :(

At least I dont have to sit through celine dion again

Oilers/Leafs game tonight. No idea which one period i'll get to watch, Im aiming to get my break in the third.

Sharks are in their first slump of the year. Considering what has come before, that was bound to happen eventually, but I hope Nabby can come back soon. I like Boucher, but ever since he let in that first goal against Dallas (And it was a first goal in a long time), he has seemed off. Still, the shot production is great, with 57 shots coming against Nashville.

The Oilers lost. Boo. And I got suckered into working the Avs/Oilers game on saturday

I will be at the game on Monday (my first for the season!) when the Preds and Sharks play again. Not looking forward to this game as I know the Sharks will be coming back for revenge. But, I hope that the Preds win again (of course).

For decades, the CBC shows nothing but Toronto in the early slot on Saturday night. This Saturday was no exception, and I think to myself, "Awesome! I can watch the Leafs and Canucks, for once at a decent hour here in Nova Scotia, if only because Vancouver was forced to an early start to accomodate the Leafs."

But no ... at the last minute, the CBC decides to show Montreal and Philly instead in Quebec and, for some reason, Nova Scotia. Now, I know all about the Acadian tradition ... but New Brunswick has that same tradition.

I felt a little frustrated.

Well, I just got back from the Predators and Sharks game and it was nasty. My wife and I had lower level seats and it was just pitiful. I did not think the Predators could stay out of the penalty box and then when Arnott was injured made the evening very gloomy. I am glad that the Predators website posted that he is out of the hospital already and ready for Friday's game. My wife and I left with eight minutes to go to beat the traffic to get on the interstate.

But, on a happier note, my brother was chosen to do one of the games during intermission. It was the mattress relay and he won. He will be on the Predators website this week for Military Monday. That was fun to watch.

YAY, i am going to be at the kings/oilers game this week! I'm going to try to get the third period as my break so i can at least watch the end.

Damn, Luongo got hurt a couple of days ago. He had an MRI yesterday, but the extent of the injury won't be known until later today (Monday). :(

My geuss is he's gone 2-3 months (Minimum), severly hurting their playoff chances, :scream: which pisses me off.
( See I knew there was a curse on this team).
I blame Cancer man!!!

Calgary Herald says Luongo's got a groin strain and will be "week-to-week." So it may not be months.

Kings/Oilers tonight. Huzzah. Itll be nice to see the Kings play live for the first time this season.
