THen the question is, What is the value of having a character called Lori Lemaris if she is not a mermaid? If she if just going to be "some girl" they may as well give her a unique name. Like with Chloe. They have been allowed to have total freedom with that character. Due to not being superficially tied to a comic book character.

Eh, because she was the girl Clark was with at that age? You could make your same argument about Lana (or even Lois, I guess), but it completely misses the mark.

So with "total freedom," aiming for the lowest mark possible is justified?

    Lowest or broadest?

Idiots who watch the telly like to feel smart. Why make TV that makes people feel stupid? It's a sad abuse of power that might lead to mass suicides.

TPTB tap their demographic with some skill, and this is the 4th or 5th episode where some one gets hopped up on an aphrodisiac and lets their groin take point, so by this point it's just a it of a laugh and could even be referred to as a running gag in the same vein as Giles getting knocked out or Sarah from Knight rider taking most of her clothes off for no reason, every episode.

Sorry I haven't been participating as heavily as I normally do but my parents are still painting their room and I am preparing to get ready to leave back to my house which has no internet so I'll be posting sparingly for the next few weeks.

I really liked this episode, it was better paced than last week's dud, and Maxima is well suited for a Smallville villan. I liked how she took Tess's dress as her outfit for the episode, I guess it was suppossed to reflect her green comic book costume. Jimmy finding the letter that Chloe wrote to Clark way back when wasn't really neccessary. I think that as far as all the romantic nonense they force upon us is concerned I'm pretty much going to ignore it all and just concentrate on the action and the small amount of character plot we are given to enjoy the rest of the season.

I'm digging the Lois and Clark interaction...they're really pushing them together this season and tomorrow night's episode should be really interesting.

I finally started working on my uber Superman story the other day and its going really well, well enought that I might actually finish it by the end of the year. Maybe I'll end up posting it once its finished. Just for those who haven't heard of my project its a combination of everything deemed "cool" or that I feel is great about the Superman mythos along with a couple of my own surprises thrown in for effect. Its divided into three parts....the first taking place solely on Krypton. The Second after high school graduation in Smallville and the third in Metropolis.

What's this bullshit about hearing all her life about the men of krypton being so marvellous in the sack? Considering most of them before the destruction of their planet, living under a red sun, were as weak and helpless as your usual human being and haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave you met Jor-El?

    What a deush.

    Zod's a wanker and Zor-El was a pillock.

Even clark is a passionless bastard nmost of the time.

"The Men of Krypton", not my ideal Playgirl spread.

I think they, her subjects and other people afraid of her, were just giving Maxima busywork and windmills. Telling her that some died out impossible to find species could rock her socks, so she better bog off and stop spoiling the atmosphere on Almerac with her escapades leaving the streets run white with murder, and find a couple no matter how long it might take.

I mean that thing with the holy grail and the crusades during the dark ages was really all about wives trying to stop the rape and beatings by sending their husbands off out on a 7 year errand.

Thug is never having to say I'm sorry.

But not to enter the business downstairs. Lex owned the building, the coffeehouse, was Kara's boss, etc. Mercy could walk in downstairs and fix herself a coffee anytime she felt like it.

She could also install a ton of surveillance which would be legal downstairs, and it seems would track anyone going in and out upstairs. Surveillance upstairs wouldn't be illegal, but Choe's not going to be able stop her.
