Ugh. Just....ugh.
I don't understand it. The Gamecocks do everything right in the offseason every year, and it never makes one goddamn lick of difference on the field.
Our QB sucks. Our OL sucks. Our star reciever got injured. Our good tight end played injured. We may have a good defense, but it doesn't make a difference when we have absolutely no offense.
I'm not going to make excuses. Vandy was clearly the superior team last night. I'm just sick of the Gamecocks not being able to contend for anything.

It was the fact that we couldn't put a drive together in the second half, couple with the turnovers, sacks, and special teams issues. The foul-up on that punt killed us.
I was finally able to get tickets to take my daughter to an OSU game. However, I have a commitment today that I really cannot break. So my father-in-law gets to take her, and I honestly could hardly be happier. He hasn't been to a game in 15 years, and she hsa never been to one.
At least the weather's great for this one, the one I went to in 1983 against Wisc. was in a drenching rain.
And of course OSU lost 3 to 0 in yet another 9-3 season from Earl Bruce.

The Oregon Ducks take on the Utah State Aggies today and are five touchdown favorites. I'm a lot less apprehensive than I was for last week's conference game against those damned Washington Huskies.
I'm watching the Auburn game right now. I wish I had ESPN right now so I could cheer for Ohio. There's nothing more I want to see today more than Ohio State losing. They're the most overrated team in existence.

The Ducks are thrashing Utah State. They were up 35-7 in the second quarter and pulled their starters. They're playing third and fourth string guys now and it's still 59-24 at the moment. I like games like these. You rest your starters and give your backups some game experience. That always pays off down the road.

I was watching the Cal game, but decided that my time was better spent studying.
Plus I can't see how we can lose with the score being 42-3 at halftime.
EDIT: Okay, they put Longshore in, which is really sad for WSU.
EDIT 2: Jayzus. 66-3! I don't think I've ever seen Cal (or any other team for that matter) destroy upon an opponent as much.

Penn State looked better than I expected. I thought the Beavers would put up more of a fight than they did. Looks like missing those two guys on the D didn't hurt us that much.
Surprised Ohio State struggled early.
ETA: I'm 15/17 so far in my Penn State pick'em. Shame I didn't make those same picks in the BBS league...
