I agree with you that Moore could work.Hmmm, I can't visualise Hounsou as Jaza. I think the characters more Shemar Moore or a younger Phil Morris. Morris feels too old though and Moore looks too young but Moore is more my choice.
As for Jesse L. Martin, I've actually pictured him as Jaza myself.
Djimon Hounsou is my pick for Jaza.
As we sort of used for the Titan extract from Sword of Damocles (no one's complained that we did...)
Neil GraystonHow about, ohh, the guy who plays Fargo on Eureka?

Sort of used?

Jaza wasn't that young when we met him.
Hounsou is 44 and Moore is 38.
I'd be fascinated to see our Giaus as a Efrosian, I just can't seem to visualize him with a Fu Manchu moustache...
Despite the proclivities of Trek hairstylists, there's no reason to assume that every member of an entire species would wear their hair in exactly the same way.
I think I might have a new candidate for Choudhury, one who comes closer to how I envision her. It's Janina Gavankar, who's guest-starring in a Stargate Atlantis episode in about three weeks (as part of an all-female recon team that also includes Nicole DeBoer!!). The link leads to a blog entry with a ton of photos of her from the Atlantis shoot. At 27, she's significantly younger than Choudhury, but she's reasonably close to how I envision Jasminder's build and type. (She's 5'7", while Rekha Sharma is only 5'3" or so.) I guess in a few weeks I'll know whether or not she's a good candidate in voice and personality too.
For Chen, what about Alexis Bledel? Her Gilmore style dialogue makes for some good quirky ramblings and insecurities. Also the thought of her with pointed ears running naked through the corridors is a nice one. But I digress....
Yeah, I'm with Marco on this one: Roger R. Cross looks like he's far more capable of kicking some ass and taking some names than Michael Boatman. And damn, man, he was just frickin' cool on 24....![]()
