^ Nothing's been said to indicate it's only one novel. You need to relax, and breathe regular :)

I'm going to go and see if my local B'N has copies of the book today. I looked a few times last week and hopefully they will have it when I go in tonight. Can't wait to read this book.

And you know, even if it's just one book, it's a trade paperback. Now admittedly that could just mean it's the length of one of the longer MMPBs...
But I also have Diane Duane's Rihannsu in trade paperback and that collects 4 books, Twist of Faith is 4 books and a novella, the Millennium Trilogy is 3 books...

So even if it is only one book, given the format it could really be any size. We'll have to wait and see.

The DS9 relaunch and Vanguard are ongoing series, so they don't count.

Terok Nor? AFAIK, those were always intended to be a 3-part series, and everyone knew it in advance.

And didn't Homecoming and The Farther Shore come out at about the same time? Even if they didn't, the VOY relaunch is also a continuing series. So it doesn't count either. :p

Actually, they were originally supposed to be a 4-part series, back in 2000 or 2001 or whenever Marco first mentioned them.

    Huh? What day is this?
Just finished the book and for my money, I really liked it a lot. It sets up the Romulan War, which is presumably the next book(s), perfectly.

    SPOILER...........

It ends with a major never-before-seen moment in Star Trek history, and I'm not talking about the destruction of the Kobayashi Maru, although that appears as well. I'll just give you two little words: "It's begun." Valdore is a great character in this, and Spoek - oh my goodness! Archer even squares off with a Klingon general in a bat'leth flight. The Vulcans seem to have more secrets. And there's a cool technological development by the Rommies - a new weapon - and I think it's going to eventually lead to something from Star Trek II: prefex codes.

It's a darn good read, if you ask me. If you liked the last book, this one raises the stakes considerably.

Yes and no. It's true that when I first announced I would be undertaking books about the occupation of Bajor, I was considering using four books to tell the tale. But I was also considering an omnibus format, along the lines of Worlds of Deep Space Nine or Mirror/Myriad Universes.

Yeah, I knew you'd say that about DS9 and Vanguard. I also had a feeling some thing about Terok Nor would come up too. Although Terok Nor is distinctly a trilogy. (Sure some would say it's more of a Prologue and then a Duology, but even that duology isn't marked as such).

However, Homecoming absolutely does count because it and Farther Shore were a duology. For that I wasn't speaking in terms of the entire Voyager relaunch, but only in terms of those two books. And the timespan in which they came out is irrelevant to whether they are numbered or not.

I just started reading the book today. It really starts with a bang and keeps your interest. Really like this fast paced story telling with the Romulan story arc it is continuing to build into a really complex story from where TGTMD left off. I'm really enjoying it so far.:bolian: It does keep getting better with each book in the Enterprise relaunch.I realy like how the characters are portrayed in this book.

Man I gotta go try and Buy this book today if they have it in Tokyo. Can't wait.
As for the Romulan War books it's seems nothings set yet so I'd still like to request 3 trade paperback Romulan War books plus the appendices. Wait, make that 6 books. Plus a Ships of the line Calender depicting the battles of the war.

It's ridiculous that I cannot find this book on Long Island. Went to 3 bookstores today. I will have to have them order it for me.

One can't help but notice that Trip's cover operation sounds like the beginnings of Section 31.

Section 31 already exists by this point. Trip is working for them. Malcolm (who also used to be one of their operatives) put him in touch with the group.

And in fact, Malcolm warns him of getting too involved, as he once was, in covert operations
