Ok, I didn't want to have to do this as I'm scared of the result. and I don't know how to do the poll thing so I'll just have to count up....
So who do you like best?
The intelligent, calm, well read, good looking Jean-Luc Picard or the alien snogging, well built James T Kirk?
By the way you can probably see where my devotion lays!:guffaw:

Worf? :klingon:

This really is UBER-GEEK territory here and has been done ad-nauseum on this site and for the last 21 years of Trek in general. Trekkies devotes a whole segment to the debate. I'm guessing that most folks are kind of sick of this question however mayber some noobs want to jump into the fray.

Yes, this is the one! And I don't like it anymore either because Jean-Luc is s'pose to win! :)

Kirk all the way. He saved the universe when Picard's great-grandfather was still in diapers!

Oh and by the way, I like these kind of threads. ;)

Sisko would've kicked both their asses, stroked his goatee, had a vision, and then said something appropriately Samuel L. Jackson-like to finish the proceedings.

WIN

Kirk's Enterprise blew up once, when Kirk told her to.

Picard's Enterprise blew up several times--I count four separate times off the top of my head (and in one of those episodes, she blew up repeatedly until Data figured out how to save her, in another, she blew up in three different incarnations)--and in all those cases, she was saved by the handy-dandy Modern Trek time loop reset button (except, of course, for GEN, in which only the survivors in the saucer were saved).

Advantage: Kirk.

My vote goes to JTK for being more of a flexible character -- you can go so many different ways with him.

As for Picard, he is too rigid. He is a good character, but he just doesn't have the range to grow as JTK. "Action Picard" should be evidence enough of this, especially by the time the TNG films came along...
