I swear to god, fuck the Red Sox right now. They absolutely suck on the road, and it just pisses me off. Two games in a row they blow the lead in the late innings. They lead all fucking game, and then they have one bad late inning, and they blow it. They may make the postseason, but they aren't gonna go far if they play like this absolute shit on the road.

And the Mets streak ends and the Phils are back in first. At least for now. The Mets went on an extremely impressive win streak, there's no doubt about it, but this division race is still going to be a bitter fight to the end.

Take a look at the standings this morning. You'd both better keep an eye out for Florida. In fact, every division but one - the AL West - has turned into a compellingly tight race. The season is barely half over, so much can change. Even so ....

I`m more worried about Altanta then I am Florida because I know that Florida is playing over their heads and will come back down to Earth. It also helps know that their middle infielders (Uggla and Ramirez) have troubles with the glove and that their ace could barely crack the Mets rotation.

EDIT: Speaking of the NL East, I`d like to thank the Phillies for getting Joe Blanton. It was a real stroke of genius to get a guy with a 4.96 era and who has given up 12 Homers who pitches most of the time in a pitchers park and then transplant him into that little league park they call home.

Well he is better then the alternatives, for them, and there are times he can be dominant. He will help them down the stretch I think.

God I wish we can get rid of Bruce Bochy now. Yes this team sucks, and we've known that since the beginning of the season, but why the hell do you leave your star pitcher in a game for 121 pitches just after he suffered from flu-like symptoms, missed the all-star game, and had to be hospitalized in New York. He's your stud pitcher, don't mess him up if you don't need to.

I'm glad Durham is gone though. He was someone who wore out his welcome but overall, this was just a bad weekend for the Giants.

The only thing he is good at is eating innings and food. I can`t wait till we face him at CBP. Looking at this trade, the Phillies gave Oakland more for Blanton, then the Cubs gave them. I love Billie Bean and I can`t wait till hes on the mound at CBP with a ball in one hand and a chesesteak in the other.

Thats all one needs to know. And it's not like the Phillies gave up all that much. The biggest prospect they gave up I believe is a second baseman. With Chase Utley there, what do they have to loose.

Goddamn middle relief! That is their major weakness, and will continue to be unless they make a move.

Yep...we'll see if Theo decides to deal before the deadline. Apparently with Buchholz back they've decided to turn Masterson into a mid-reliever. I think it should be the other way around as Clay has yet to show us good stuff this season. And the Hansen-Delcarmen-Timlin axis is starting to make Eric Gagne look like Randy Johnson.

Fortunately the Rays are cooling down, though the Yankees are creeping up there. That said, the pinstripes have been doing a good job of keeping themselves from going deep into the postseason the last few years.

It's not entirely their fault. After years of being on top, they've since been scarred by the 2004 collapse, and the Sox taking over the division. Hell, the Rays are even on the rise, so the Yanks are stuck with an aging, injured team in 3rd place. And because of the personalities involved, they can't even brand themselves as lovable losers. Just an aging beauty queen with her looks fading

Yes, absolutely right, after a few years of not winning the World Series we're just horrible, you can call me after we suck for 80 years like you guys.
