Opening credits -Wrong?

If Jake Sisko made the same bread as Kira and Worf I'll jump into the wormhole without a spacesuit! :cardie:

Cirroc Lofton worked less (and was paid less) due to his age at time of contract negotiation. The writers knew he was coming of age, though, in Season Five and the very first ep ("... Nor the Battle to the Strong") where he was no longer under child actor union restrictions, they gave him heaps to do and almost ran him ragged.

His contract for Season Six probably saw him get a decent payrise.

Opening credits and pay are contractually negotiated. Lucky for Shatner, because based on acting ability he'd only show up in closing credits.
Opening credits: I agree that Voyager had the best opening sequence of any Trek.

Frakes had just come off North and South and other current TV prime-time credits at the time. That's why he was up front with Stewart. Reading Rainbow didn't really count with adult viewers.

Burton's work on "Roots" had gained him some contractual muscle though. He had better "likeness approval" clauses many of the rest of the cast, and he used that at least once when a Playmates action figure didn't meet with his approval.
