Well unfortunately I haven't found the trick yet but I'm still looking. As for rewatching I've only gotten as far as halfway through Season 7 then have to give it up as a bad job.

I like the way you put that: "give it up as a bad job".

Yeah...there are a few gems in season 7, and I'd watch those again. But Endgame isn't the only season 7 episode I'd skip when it came to a run through my DVDs.

I'd also skip all of those annoying EMH-as-center-of-the-universe episodes which dominate this season....starting with, but not limited to, Flesh & Blood.

There are about 8-10 episodes I'd watch again...mainly the ones I listed in my initial post in this thread...but a few others that are not bad.

But several that I would skip completely.

That is one way, IMO, that VOY is like TOS: the best episodes are in the first seasons and the last season is at times kinda tough to get through.

I think DS9 is the exact opposite of this - it peaked at the end and most of it's worst episodes are in season one.

TNG peaked in the middle...but seasons 1 and 2 are practically unwatchable for me now.

And ENT is all over the map.

Ah well....

Lineage....because of Tom and B'Elanna and great character development

Workforce 1&2....So cute how even though Tom didn't know who he was or who B'Elanna was, he still hit on her :techman:, and when he saw she was preggers he wanted to protect her and care for her;)

Drive, but I forgot to vote for more than one:eek:

Actually, believe it or not, I'm not a big fan of getting a DS9 movie. If the old writing crew was doing it, then maybe. But since a reunion of those guys would be unlikely, then I think that with someone else besides Ira Behr and the Gang at the helm, chances are a DS9 movie would do more to hurt DS9 than help it.

WYLB was a good ending, and I'm okay with leaving it alone. To improve on it would be a much harder task than it would be to improve on Endgame....which IMO could be improved upon with pretty much anything short of 2 hours of solid blue screen.

But seriously...I think I said elsewhere that of all the series, I would like to see a VOY movie most, because Janeway deserved a much better legacy than the one we are left with now.

I'd give up a DS9 movie to see that happen.

Not that either will...but you know what I mean. ;)
Yeah, I don't believe a DS9 movie will ever happen. But neither do I think a VOY movie will happen. But if they are going to produce a new film based on one of the spin-offs (as unlikely as it may be), I'd want it to be a DS9 movie. Behr and company could pull it off, I'm sure.

I agree, What You Leave Behind wrapped up things rather nicely (I'm actually one of the people who love the more open ending as it inspires one's imagination), but there's this irrational voice in me that just wants to see my favorite crew back together. I just don't have the same feeling for the crew of the Voyager.

Maybe we should shut up. We are slowly but surely turning this into a second Deep Space Nine forum! :rommie:

Lineage....because of Tom and B'Elanna and great character development

Actually, I quite like this episode as well. This one would be in my 're-watch' list too.

This one might very well have been B'Elanna's best episode of the season. I love to watch B'Elanna struggling with her Klingon roots. Frankly, I think her character was even more interesting than Worf to watch, in this regard.

I couldn't agree more, Roxann did a really amazing job with her acting in this episode. She really made you feel her pain and then I really loved how Tom was really supportive and you could just tell he understood and how proud/excited of a father he was.

I rewatch all the Tom/B'Elanna episodes on YouTube because I am seriously obsessed......I've considered seeking professional help:wtf:

^ YOU? Obsessed with Tom & B'Elanna?????

I find that hard to believe!

;)

LOL.......That's what everyone says, they too are quite shocked. But sadly, or not, it is true:techman:

The first time Voyager hit the TV I barely took notice of it at all but now, at the age of 25, I am punching myself for not noticing the hotness and perfection that is P/T! How could I have missed it?! :wtf:

My family has seriously considered a P/T intervention, to be featured on the show "Intervention" on A&E....it should be a touching episode! LOL....:guffaw:

Author, Author (come on, more people should be voting for this!)
I am curious as to why... I enjoyed the ep, don't get me wrong, but I am curious as to why you support it?
Besides the fact that I love the Doctor, the "fictional" characters in the first half of of the episode are freakin' hilarious. And while the second half of the episode is rather derivative of "The Measure of a Man" (which happens to be one of my all-time favorite TNG episodes), it's still pretty decent, and Barclay is always a plus as well, even though he doesn't do much here.

"Imperfection"
"Homestead"
"Endgame"

I'm not going to waste time justifying any of these choices. :p Particularly "Endgame", an episode which has attracted vitriol completely and utterly out of all proportion, IMO. To each their own, but some of the criticism I've read about this episode is absolutely ridiculous. It's the finale of a TV show, not a matter of life and death, but the way some go on about it one could be forgiven for thinking otherwise.

[/mini-rant] :D

Imperfection, Shattered, and Endgame

For the record Endgame rules. :D

Positives: Cynical Admiral Janeway kicks ass. Captain Kim is cool, the Rhode Island is a neat ship. The Borg are awesome, the Queen returns to piss in Janeway's Cheerios one last time. Armored Voyager is sweet, as is the Transwarp Hub. Miral Paris is born. :techman:

Negatives: Chakotay/Seven. Voyager gets home.

Just think though - if I wasn't so peeved about "Endgame" I would never have joined the board and you would have been deprived of numerous opportunities to pick on me. ;)

 Now there's a visual I could have done without!

Oh, I think it's neat that you have something that you love this much about the show, and that it came out well for you. Ultimately, I think as far as the 'shippers attached to VOY go, the P/T ones were the only ones made happy in the end! So you have reason to celebrate!

Anyway, that's the way I see it.

Obviously the 'ship I was most interested in did not work out and I do harbor some annoyance about that. But I did think P/T was cute, and I am quite pleased for you that you P/T shippers got a good ending. In fact, it really could not have been any better, you know?

And I wouldn't worry about 'missing it' the first time around - no need to beat yourself up over that! That is what is so great about these shows. Each time you watch them through, you get different things out of them, depending upon your own stage of life and frame of mind at the time.

One of these days I'll get around to watching VOY through again, from beginning to end (minus a few episodes that annoy me too much. ;) ) and I'm sure that I will discover new things to like about it.

And personally, I don't think you need any 'intervention'. So many people seem to have so many complaints about various aspects of VOY that personally, I love reading your posts. You know what you like, and you stick to that. And as a result, your posts are pretty positive and upbeat. :)

In fact, after reading so many of your posts now, I have been thinking that the next time I watch this show through, I'll focus more on P/T. Then I'll get a happy ending too, rather than ending up sorta disillusioned about the things I don't like.

 Well, for most of this post, I was thinking "I'm gonna talk to him on MSN about that!" :p

But then I got to the last sentence.

It was a negative for you that Voyager got home???

Now, this I have to hear the rationale for! And it can't wait until the next time we screw around on MSN. :p

 Forgive me for not knowing your backstory here, kimc. Did you seriously join this board originally, just to bitch about Endgame?

I'm sorry...but that is frikkin' hilarious!

But anyway, I'm with ya - I just find it difficult to let go of my irritation over that episode...mostly because it WAS the series finale and could not be redeemed later.

However, VOY is not the only show I hold a grudge about in this regard. If those guys hadn't made The Peacekeeper Wars, I'd probably STILL be bitching about the truly horrible ending we were left with on Farscape.

And don't even get me started on the series finale of ENT. Whew!

But hey...at least they know that we care enough to be concerned about the ending. Shows that truly suck, I turn off long before they even get to that point, and couldn't care less how they ended.

I only care about the endings to shows I'm invested in, after all. ;)

Yeah, it's pretty funny and sad at the same time! I lurked for a while but after "Endgame" I needed venting therapy!

Wow, thanks:) You're like a super nice, super awesome person:techman:

I find that in life it is so much easier and more pleasant to focus on all the positive things than the negative. While I might see some faults in VOY they simply don't stand out to me and I can easily overlook them because I see far more good things about VOY.

I do feel lucky that P/T happened, as a Harry/Hermione shipper I was very disappointed and disheartened about the outcome of the Potter books, so I am glad that in the case of VOY I got what I wanted and that is was lovely and beautiful;) It was nice watching it slowly form and then eventually come to fruition with marriage and a child. I can truely say that with P/T the writers did something very special and for that I'll be forever greatful!

For the record, I liked 'Endgame' and I usually like all VOY episodes anyhow. I only wished I could have seen all of them see their families again, that would have been special:rolleyes:

I've probably explained this before somewhere in this forum. I never wanted Voyager to get home. The show was more about the journey of getting home then actually getting there, I thought. We got to share the crew's adventures, and how they became a type of family themselves. I never wanted to see the Voyager family break apart. I'd have been happy if the last episode ended with Voyager having to divert course at the last minute in the transwarp corridor and coming out a few more years closer to home, still in the Delta Quadrant. The show would end the same way it started, with Janeway telling Tom to set a course for home and Voyager warping away. The adventure continues.
