Thanks for voting in the sixth season polls. This is the first part of the seventh season poll where you have to vote the three episodes you consider to be the best. The five episodes receiving the most votes will go on to the next round. Well, if by now you don't know the routine you are officially a newbie. ;)

Winners to date:
Caretaker (Season 1)
Deadlock (Season 2)
Scorpion, Part I (Season 3)
Living Witness (Season 4)
Timeless (Season 5)
Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy (Season 6)
Blink of an Eye (Season 6)

The poll is open for three days.

imperfection
(By the time this emotional episode ended, I had to check to see if my ocular implant was malfunctioning, if you know what I mean.)

shattered
(recaps some of the best moments from earlier episodes, without resorting to being a clip show)

lineage
(A thoughtful and welcome episode, with character development and interesting dialogue, and without special effects, forehead aliens, or threatening anomalies.)

Shattered
Friendship 1
Endgame

And before I get shot for choosing Endgame... watch it as just an individual episode and it's very good. Not the best series finale, I'll grant. But a great individual ep.

Dont' worry, I'm unarmed! ;)

Your post made me wonder though if those of us who were disappointed with "Endgame" would have been just as disappointed if it weren't the finale. I know I had some high expectations but instead when the credits started rolling my friend and I both looked at each other and said "What the hell was that!?"

I can laugh about it now but at the time I was pretty peeved.

^ Speaking only for myself, I'd have been just as disappointed because of what it did to the Janeway character. The only way that episode can be redeemed, IMO, is to find a way of hitting the reset button on the entire thing and make it like it never happened.

Anyway, this is probably my least favorite season of VOY, so it wasn't hard for me to make my picks. I pick Shattered (the only episode from this season that I really LOVE), The Void, and Q2 (not the best Q episode ever made, but my second favorite one on VOY besides Death Wish, and a fun entry nonetheless).

I also like that one that addresses the death penalty (can't remember the name but I know it is in this season)...and Workforce is okay as well.

The rest of this entire season I can skip.

Kind of makes you wonder if anyone would ever say "Worry, I got a gun!"

My feelings at the time exactly. But it has a noble cause (Janeway saving 7 and Chakotay... Harry keeping it in the family), some fan boy battle (the borg vs armored Voyager AND the Klingon sequence)... and some interesting characters in the future... including our now married Doctor Joe, Writer and Bald Tom Paris... Captain Harry. And Reg. :)

They needed an episode or two after this one, but if they would have finished the story instead of ending it where they did, we would be talking about how great of an ep this was.

Shattered
Workforce, Part I
Author, Author (come on, more people should be voting for this!)

Oh I totally agree but that doesn't mean I don't look for reasons to make it less painful. ;)

Well, I don't do bong hits anymore (except in Amsterdam), and nothing else will quite do the job of making it less painful for me, so I guess I'm screwed.

Maybe one day I should go back and try to find something to like there...but that would require actually watching the thing again and risk getting pissed off all over...so the cost/potential benefit really isn't there.

There are only two things I liked that I can remember:

1. They got home (although I really didn't like the method, I did like the fact that they did, indeed, get home).
2. The super-duper way-cool hull plating thing.

But truthfully, what I really want is a VOY movie that will erase the whole episode.

I'm still holding out. :p

Well unfortunately I haven't found the trick yet but I'm still looking. As for rewatching I've only gotten as far as halfway through Season 7 then have to give it up as a bad job.

The super-duper way-cool hull plating thing.
I just knew you would say this. :p

Oh my! Am I that transparent to you? Maybe I need to start making crap up.

I mean, more than usual. :p

Anyhoo, what Voyager really needed was some Christmas lights and a Sombrero...but since that didn't happen ( :klingon: ) the next best thing is the super-duper way-cool hull plating.

Go Endgame! :p

But first ... our Deep Space Nine movie. ;)

Actually, believe it or not, I'm not a big fan of getting a DS9 movie. If the old writing crew was doing it, then maybe. But since a reunion of those guys would be unlikely, then I think that with someone else besides Ira Behr and the Gang at the helm, chances are a DS9 movie would do more to hurt DS9 than help it.

WYLB was a good ending, and I'm okay with leaving it alone. To improve on it would be a much harder task than it would be to improve on Endgame....which IMO could be improved upon with pretty much anything short of 2 hours of solid blue screen.

But seriously...I think I said elsewhere that of all the series, I would like to see a VOY movie most, because Janeway deserved a much better legacy than the one we are left with now.

I'd give up a DS9 movie to see that happen.

Not that either will...but you know what I mean. ;)

I really liked the Void and am pleased to see it getting some support. I'm also surprised by the support for Workforce.
