I honestly can't remember what brought me here. It's been over 8 years. Perhaps I found the TrekToday news outlet first and saw that little link to TrekBBS in the corner and thought...hmmm...what's that?
Not sure. If it was someone here, he probably hasn't been around for a long time.
There was a trail of Smarties up to the board.
For me, It was Enterprise's 2nd season and I was reading the StarTrek.com message boards. Someone posted a link back here to a review of Regeneration written by someone posting under the name "Samuel T Cogley." It was hilarious, and I made a note of TrekBBS.com.
In that thread, or another Regeneration thread I noticed that there was a reply from the actual guy that actually wrote the episode. I was shocked. WOW! This must be the place for serious Trekkies.
It was all the hype for Trek XI, and speciafically Dale Hoppert's "Generic Parody Thread" that convinced me to re-register, and I've sorta stuck around this time. A warm welcome from our own Samuel T. Cogley didn't hurt.![]()
Back at the beginning of the century, I was into 3d modeling and there was a little Star Trek discussion board attached to the 3d Gladiators board, which itself had sprung out of the defunct ScifiArt board. I think it was called the Subspace BBS and it used a graphic of the Space Station K7 as it's logo. Maybe Starship Polaris or Samuel T Cogley can remember because I believe that that's where I first encountered those crotchety old coots. Fond memories.

I don't know: at least I remember you.Not sure. If it was someone here, he probably hasn't been around for a long time.
I believe he stopped posting shortly after I arrived (some six years ago)... I hope it wasn't something I said!I suppose I was his replacement in a way (talk about short-changeing the place
).
The ones on your coffee table may not be the same thing, though. They're a different item on the other side of the pond. There was a trail of Smarties up to the board.
Smarties are fucking awesome. I have a huge bowl of Smarties on my coffee table at home.

Well, I'm going to take credit for that one, too, because Dale was using that thread to make fun of my many parody threads at that particular moment. I even participated in it until he turned on me. Why, I oughta...![]()
