Sorry to blunder in here like a goon spouting irrelevance, but how come you Brits have such a hard time hearing the difference between "ff" and "th"?

It's "Hath".

IIRC there's still people referring to the baddies from "The Unquiet Dead" as the "Gelf" and not the "Gelth"!!!

Anyway... just a nitpick.

Carry on.

Have you not heard some of our accents? A lot of them turn th in to ff, besides for the Gelth people could have been thinking about the Gelf from Red Dwarf.

I like your theory and it makes a lot of sense. I was thinking that maybe female Time Lords (or Ladies?) regenerate differently and don`t change appearance. I am certainly no expert. Have we ever seen a female Time Lord regenerate before?

Actually, it is just the opposite. Yes, we've seen Romana regenerate. She was able to change her appearance several times before deciding on a face she liked, she was even able to make her face match the appearance of another women. What is arguable is if she used up any regenerations in doing so, Timelord women may have the ability to change appearance after a regeneration and not use up extra regenerations, or, she may have used up several of them, which would be quite a stupid thing to do.

Remember the Doctor's hand from Christmas Invasion? Perhaps when a Timelord/Lady regenerates from choice they have great deal of control.

Having Tennants doctor being compared to Peter davidsons and Donna and Martha made me think of Tegan and Nyssa

10 bucks says Jenny will be back and have her own spinoff series >_>

I liked the episode a lot. I didn't expect her to originally be the Doctor's daughter from before the Time War because they'd all be dead (which they confirmed in the episode). I loved the revelation that they had only been fighting for seven days. Her "death" was so horribly forced and expected (I was trying to figure out how they would kill her from the beginning, to be honest) that I guess I don't want to fault them for not having her be completely dead (the fact that she kept the same appearance is odd, but oh well).

Damn, Georgia Moffett is cute, though. I'm sure she'll be back eventually.

Yup, it seemed like it was perfectly set up for that.
cos that is just what this verse needs ANOTHER spin-off, really i like the Whoverse but really the spin-offs are getting out of hand, unless they cancel one, or air a few episodes whilst Doctor Who isnt on next year, we dont need another spin-off.

as to her being a future companion? really so you want the 10th Doctor basically travelling with a younger blonder more female version of himself? if she is to be a companion it needs to be a with a Doctor who has a differnt personality to 10 & Jenny.

I like it a lot that the Doctor has such a variety of characters now who are accompanying him at one time or the other and in various combinations. It helps to keep the series fresh.

No, I don`t think it would be a good idea to make Jenny a permanent companion but as a recurring character she would be an excellent choice.

What knocked me for a loop watching the confidential was that some one called "Alice Troughton" was directing the episode... Of course, not relation, but I was off line at the time and it took me a couple hours to check up on that and I'm thinking "Hells bells, how many daughters does this bloke have?"

jenny would make a crap companion. All that wide eyed optimism belons over in Sarah Jane land.

I still don't believe Gallifrey was destroyed. It's just hidden.

That was not only the worst episode this season, but one of the worst of all times. It was poor in every regards, to the point I simply found my thoughts wandering during the episode. Acting=Weak. Direction=Weak. Plot=What? Tennant phoned in every cliched emotional moment, running through face gurnings and eye swellings like a rolodex. What a suckass episode. Here's to Agatha Christie...
