If find it depends on the quality of the item. Some labels like to save money by using less fabric which means smaller fits. I wish we could buy clothes the way men do - by actual measurements instead of these ridiculous sizes.

Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large and Extra Extra Large are not measurements. :)

We get to buy clothes that way? I tend to bring a tape measure to my (infrequent) visits to clothing stores. EN 13402 might change things (you'd think they'd have thought of something like it a century earlier)

I guess for the cheaper stuff you're in the same boat. For women though it doesn't matter how much we spend - it's still crappy sizing.

Have they also done away with the free alterations?

Got a nifty 500 GB external hard drive in the mail...and a 250 GB portable external, while I was at it.

I love storage. :)

...I might be a 4 in one store, and a 6 in another. Usually I am 4 or 6, which translates into small or medium. I don't worry though if a dress runs small and I have to get an 8, or if a sweater runs large and I fit into a 2....

I couldn't squeeze into a size 4 when I was 4.
Well, to be honest I can only get into a 2 or 4 on top; I don't think my ass could ever be smaller than a 6!

I know, right?! Though it might serve only to make things more complicated. I was recently measured for my bridesmaid dress and was told that my bust puts me in a size 6, my waist in a 4, and my hips in an 8. Go figure.

Today I bought a New York Fahgettaboudit U-lock for my bike. Spring is here and biking season's in the air, but my old padlock and chain are looking pretty meek these days. I was especially motivated after watching this video which demonstrates the ease with which a bicycle can be stolen in New York. I've locked my bike up within a one block radius of each of those locations in my 4 years of biking in the city!

I got two cards..one for mothers day tomorrow and a graduation card for a friend of mine who is graduating college today. I also bought him a Wal-Mart giftcard for $35. :) And i found something really cool today-Star Trek Legacy-a game for my PC. :D It's hard getting used to..haven't figured out how to stear the ships yet..and I want to be Voyager but can only be the Enterprise vessels..dammit! But I get to battle wth Voyager in the Borg attack. :) Any pointers for this game from other posters out there who have purchased it would be appreciated. :)

/\ Wouldn't you be drunk if you had to be there to prop up a flagging career?

My purchases, Space 1999 the complete series on DVD, Steamboy on DVD, Robinson Crusoe on Mars on DVD...( had a small bonus from work and felt the need to fill out my DVDs a bit)
