I don't think it was. It was a pathogen that was developed by a race to retaliate against the Borg as seen in the episode where Seven has multiple personalities surface within her.
To bring chaos to order, which the old Janeway specifically states.
Maybe it was a combo.was it Icheb's virus that they used? I missed that

They weren't invisible to the Borg.Better question...Earrly in the ep they said the future shuttle's cloaking technology couldn't be used on Voyager, but the ship was invisible as it shot a torpedo to destroy the Borg sphere...Huh?
Or am I missing something?

Voyager allowed itself to be caught and trackered into the sphere and then blew their way out as the entered the Alpha Quaderant.
What was the point in that? Was it just so that we'd get that great explosion or was it easier to blow up the sphere from the inside?
It also allowed Janeway to stall for time. Once Voyager is successfully tractored inside, there's no longer any point in firing at her.
Because the Borg Queen had adapted the Borg to their sheilds. If the Sphere kepted firing on Voyager, they would have gotten thru. Voyager's best bet was to bluff them. By allowing the ship to be captured, they'd no longer be fired upon thus saving the ship & crew.Voyager allowed itself to be caught and trackered into the sphere and then blew their way out as the entered the Alpha Quaderant.

However, the Borg didn't asslimlate the knowledge to the torpedos yet. So Voyager shot their way out, destroying the Sphere and getting them home.
BTW, Icheb's DNA was altered from birth to create the pathogen. He creates in naturally all the time. The Doc. found a way to turn it off but his body will always create it.
I enjoyed the first one, never got around to playing part 2.Because the Borg Queen had adapted the Borg to their sheilds. If the Sphere kepted firing on Voyager, they would have gotten thru. Plus it helps give some plot to Elite Force II, great game.

I just started playing that a few days ago. Didn't we already blow up the sphere in Elite Force I?
