Not exactly a song, but went to the symphony yesterday afternoon and I have to say - the Atlanta Symphony was on their "A" game with Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 2.

By far their best performance of the season. It was positively breathtaking.

Wish they played with that much passion all the time.

I've never been able to confirm it by locating the LP or CD, but I heard on the radio once a performance by the Atlanta SO (I think that's who the radio guy said) of Rossini's William Tell Overture that was downright scary. Best I've ever heard.
