I agree. For me putting my hair up involves 30 minutes in front of a mirror and a lot of swearing.

that's what I was thinking, (yes I watched every episode and I'm eagerly awaiting the movie) but I don't understand what's wrong with a scrunchie. It's just a device to securely hold hair

Sorry - I guess I forgot not everyone is a "Sex and the City" fan. There was one episode where one of the characters said no stylish woman in Manhatten would be caught dead in public while wearing a scrunchie. It caused some waves in the fashion world.
