Spoilers Season 4 Preview Images Thread

I think I see La'an in a situation where she'd either punch someone or something again.

Minor spoilers Kirk is technically not in this episode, Spock is imagining him

I’d say it’s still possible he’s there elsewhere. But yeah, it would probably be most thematically poignant if he’s really just not actually in the episode at all.

Well they're definitely going for an over the top look rather than period correct in most of those shots, but I guess I'll see what the rest of the episode looks like! I didn't really expect them to film for the lack of color though, that would probably be too much to ask for a single episode.

I'm aware that it's a style. I was referring to the way the films looked in the classic noir period, which appears to be the time frame they were going for.

Oh, god, please no, not a solar system where everything is in black and white. That's not how color works, it's so goddamned stupid.

I guess it could work if something in-system fucks with everyone's eyes to stop the cone cells from working. It would still make no sense, but it wouldn't break the laws of physics or anything.

If you want to just film and episode in monochrome, just fucking do it. You don't need an in-universe explanation. In Bride of Chaotica, they didn't come up with some technobabble to explain why the non-holographic characters going into the simulation weren't in color. They just ignored it, and rightfully so.
