Spoilers La'An - what's going to happen?

I like the idea that she'll join the department of temporal investigations.

Or they'll make her a full on despot like Khan and have to kill her. I think i'd prefer the former option

I want Dino punching La'An to end up as a as a temporal agent/protector, ending up with THAT alternate Kirk, but only after helping THIS timelines Kirk with a couple of things on his way to the big chair.

Agreed. Peck has been sublime as Spock. I haven't been this happy since Todd Haberkorn's version on STC. I liked Quinto's Spock just fine, but I never fully connected with him.

Unfortunately, the more I've seen of Peck's Spock, the less I've liked him. Though it isn't all on Peck.

Then we agree on more than one thing. Peck passed Quinto right out of the gate.

And I like Quinto.

Unfortunately, the more I've seen of Peck's Spock, the less I've liked him. Though it isn't all on Peck.

For me it's Peck's voice. There's something about it that doesn't quite resonate with me as Spock.

Peck to me is the only actor who could probably pull off Spock in any way close to how Nimoy played the character. And Peck does his own thing. He makes his Spock more vulnerable and emotional, which plays into the character being more "smiley" and "shouty" in the TOS Pilot Era, but also imbues him with facets that Nimoy never did or couldn't.

He's a great Spock, and a perfect Spock for the pre-TOS timeframe.

I think every TOS character has been superbly cast in SNW and has been a better, richer character for it.
