I have offered my suggestions that your idea is not likely to happen. I have offered my suggestions as to why. I have taken a part in this conversation. Every time I post, negating your points, you move the goalposts. I also think that simply writing something off is a bad solution to offloading content. People are fans of this series. There would be disappointment if it was simply written off. That is not acceptable to me. It’s not my favorite Trek, but I have found enjoyment in it. At the end of the day, isn’t that the point of entertainment? Enjoyment? Not simply writing a production off that one person in this conversation wants blown into oblivion. It’s a tv show. It really can’t hurt you.
His actor suggested he could in fact not become a starfleet officer at all. Idle speculation of course but with their final fates more than likely never to be revealed on screen why not use it to fuel the imagination
