Will SFA Season 2 Actually Air?

I would like more. No more prequels or 32nd century nonsense. Just go the 25th years after picard with a new crew and mission. Actual deep space missions. No call backs to previous shows or movies for a long time. Also lets at least get rid of the 32nd century as actual canon.

I don't think it is something they will approach piecemeal. It will be all or nothing. Either the franchise will get rebooted or it won't.

Considering how limited our exposure is to the 32nd century, it will probably be the setting where you'll be able to get what you want without a reboot.

None has been removed. Im saying if SFA were ever tax wrote off it would effectively make it non canon.

They've aired and sold via digital the first season, so still canon. Besides, the 32nd century will still be canon via Discovery.

It won't be, though.

And whoever makes the next Trek will just cherry pick whatever bits of lore they want and ignore the rest. Like Bennett-era Trek did. Like Berman-era Trek did. Like Kurtzman-era Trek did.

TAS was in legal limbo following the Filmation bankruptcy, and was explicitly non-canon for decades. It's fan's didn't care. SFA fans will still be SFA fans even if they do a press release tomorrow declaring that Gene Roddenberry has risen and demanded the show removed from holy scripture and the historical documents.

The first season has already aired and is currently available for purchase on digital media for those who don't subscribe to Paramount+. It's no longer eligible for a tax write-off.

Even if the second season were shelved for a tax write-off (which it won't) that doesn't change the fact the first season is most definitely out there and isn't going anywhere, meaning the first season is as canon as all other onscreen content in the franchise and will not have that status negated whatsoever.

Doesn't matter. It can still be decanonized. Paramount owns it. They can do what they want

Considering Paramount has never decanonized any Trek production, why would they decanonize this?

It was beaten by reruns of sponge Bob, everybody loves Raymond and king of queens week after week. It had very low viewership. Maybe the lowest of any live trek ever made. Why keep such a bad show as canon? Its in the 32nd century removing it will at least leave the future open again for 25th century trek.

Because good has nothing to do with canon.

Nemesis got beat by a Jennifer Lopez comedy. Let's decanonize it too
