Random Trek "Problems" That Bug You (and that you can't let go!)

Conundrum gave him a birth date which would equate to him being 59 in season one.

Stewart was 47.

In Picard he was 94 when he was 78. So they extended the gap a bit further when filming that.
What’s the timeframe for the Future Timeline in All Good Things?

Future Geordi says that the last time he and Picard served together on the D was 'almost 25' years ago.
All Good Things. . . is set in 2370.
Almost 25 years places the future portions of the episode in c. 2395, give or take.
If we assume that the D was destroyed similarly as it was in Generations in 2371 and eventually salvaged and rebuilt into its Dreadnought configuration and the crew scattered while this happens; than 2396-2397 is a possibility.

So, earlier than the events of the series Picard 🤔👍🏻🖖🏻

Some stuff from TNG... not comprehensive.

- Deanna gets promoted while Data doesn't.
- Worf/Deanna. Ick.
- Wesley saves the ship too many times.
- "Half a Life". Appalling.
- Riker commits murder in "Up the Long Ladder"
- Picard goes right back to work after multiple horrific or life altering experiences. And gets bullied into ceding command to Riker because he's short and has hair.

Now DS9...

- Destroying the Ferengi as a culture.
- Having one woman destroy the Ferengi as a culture singlehandedly.
- Introducing Section 31... and having Sisko do their job one episode later.
- Killing off Jadzia Dax.
- Insulting Jadzia's memory by bringing in Ezri Dax.
- Having a station counselor who's more neurotic than her clients.
- Kira/Shakaar. Redeemed only by its brevity.
- Having Sisko leave his family, whatever the reason.

Data was the only TNG character who didn't either refuse promotion (like Riker and Picard did) or receive it.

Deanna is infinitely better looking than Data.

Furthermore, she solved the problem of command.

The SHIP always comes first. Then the crew

???

If the Ship is in useable condition, then the crew have something to work with.

Ultimately, Troi didn't deserve the promotion because she didn't see the solution on her own. Riker gave her the hint.

She even told him after she went back and ordered the Geordi hologram's death that she didn't deserve the promotion. (And she was right.) But Riker gave it to her anyway.

It still amuses me to think that one's worthiness for a promotion can be predicated upon one's willingness to order a non-sentient hologram to kill itself.

"If you want that extra pip, you need to change this lightbulb."

I was thinking of another thing that bugs me: "Tin Man."

It's just awful all around, but the writing is especially terrible.

Gettysburg.

"To be a good soldier in the Army means that you love the Army more than anything else. To be a good officer in the Army means being willing to destroy that which you love most."

Didn't look it up, from memory.
