The delivery of "not Chen?!" always makes me laugh, Lister genuinely believing that Chen could survive not only a radioactive explosion to the face but also the intervening three million years. I mean, it's Chen! For some reason, this thread reminds me of this scene.
Wait - why bring the 20+ seasons of the TNG/DS9/VOY 24th century Berman era into this where they recycled the same tired old stories in each new iteration...And save for a couple seasons total, I found most of it boring and poorly executed. Newer Franchises are just better and we need more of it. Not old Franchises redone over and over again.

Well the great thing is the SNW sets are gone Dar70. There is no way year one is happening now. So the damage won't go any further..I don't know how so many can't see the difference. The Kurtzman shows are way worse with Canon than any of the other shows. I mean we have almost the entire TOS crew on board the Enterprise already. Kirk and Pike are almost besties. Spock has had open relationships with two crew members as well as T'pring. There was ZERO evidence in TOS of this. It's a very far stretch. Spock should be reserved and stoic at this point. The only time he was even this open to the crew in TOS was when he was playing on his harp and Uhura was singing.
Im glad people like it but don't pretend it's following what came before because it really is not.
