Is it in line behind Star Trek 4?
I love you so much right now.

They really should finally start filming. Patrick Stewart and the rest of the gang aren't getting any younger, and the sets of the Bridge are being touched and used by strangers every day.
Oh God. WHY? I know. I don't have to watch it. But another Trek film featuring the TNG cast and based on the horror that is "PICARD"? Ugh.
The 24/25th century is dead, much like the 23rd will be once SNW runs its course. Hope everyone likes the 32nd century!
Same as it ever was...These days, they’re all pretty much the same anyway.

For now. The 23rd century would have been declared dead in the period between TUC and JJTrek. Same for the 24th century between Nemesis and Picard/Lower Decks. I think they will focus on the 32nd century right now, but things can always change. The 24/25th century is dead, much like the 23rd will be once SNW runs its course. We got a hundred pages out of Brian Brophy. This obviously wasn't happening from pretty much day one. I'm mildly surprised to see 46 pages of discussion squeezed out of a dead duck.
Mildly.
This movie idea was for some reason tied to Legacy, in that the first season of Legacy would lead to a Picard movie. No one at Paramount ever tried to correct the record and say something along the lines of, 'no, its the film first, then Legacy.' And clearly, Legacy never got off the ground, which meant this movie never got off the ground either. And frankly, it always made more sense for anything PIC-related to lead into Legacy anyways as a torch passing moment. It's technically already been done with PIC S3. A PIC-movie would be a victory lap, right down to emulating the energy of S3.Are they making this? Stewart isn't getting any younger.
Or, they’d rather it quietly fade, like all the Star Wars movies that haven’t happened. At the same time, if it was cancelled - especially pending Stewart's upcoming retirement - you'd think Paramount would say so already.
The Picard Movie and Legacy were never officially announced. Just Sir Pat suggested a script was being written?Or, they’d rather it quietly fade, like all the Star Wars movies that haven’t happened.

And I still think he probably just got confused somewhere, because it just sounded like Picard, and nobody else ever said anything. The Picard Movie and Legacy were never officially announced. Just Sir Pat suggested a script was being written?
