Anyone ever notice this "Caretaker" scene was edited for Pluto?

Planet of the Daves

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
The scene in question is when Paris is arriving at DS9 via shuttle and seeing Voyager for the first time. There is a line or two in which he flirts with the pilot of the shuttle. Cringey to be sure and it's meant to present Paris as a hotshot ladies man. However, on Pluto it's been cut and goes straight to talking about Voyager. Netflix, on the other hand, has it unedited. Does anyone know why this is? Are there other edits like this?

I’m not sure how much of a difference this makes to free streaming channels with ads, but does Pluto show commercials? Is that the only place in the entire episode that was edited, or was there more? Is there a certain block of time they have to show episodes?

I take it you're not in the US, since Netflix doesn't currently have Voyager here, and PlutoTV only has season 4 on demand, though it has a live channel showing the series continuously.

Question: Are they both the same version of "Caretaker?" The version re-edited into two 1-hour episodes cuts out some lines from the original 2-hour version, IIRC.

Different streamers often carry different releases of the same series -- for instance, currently Crunchyroll is carrying a version of Dirty Pair that's bizarrely stretched out 10% wider than its proper 4:3 ratio so that every character looks 10% stockier than they should, while PlutoTV is carrying a version with the correct aspect ratio and a "Retro Crush" distributor logo at the beginning. It's not something done for the individual streamers, it's just a function of which of the available versions they end up carrying.
