Spoilers Marvel Cinematic Universe spoiler-heavy speculation thread

What grade would you give the Marvel Cinematic Universe? (Ever-Changing Question)

I'm not naive, I know this is like giving Sam Wilson the middle finger to Captain America. I just think it's the right decision considering the current state of the MCU. After Endgame, some viewers stopped following Marvel simply because Chris Evans and RDJ left. These decisions are made to attract those who stopped watching, and I don't see anything to be angry about. If I were Kevin Feige, I would have made the same decision. The real problem will arise if they actually reboot it.

Don't listen to Diggie, he's convinced he is the only one that is right.

And using the "multiverse" as an excuse to indulge in nostalgia for previous adaptations of the same property is an overused trope. It was fun when the Arrowverse did it, but by now it's been done so often it just feels pro forma.
Agree to disagree. This has been clearly what they've been setting up right from the start. There's already a hanging plot thread in the X-verse involving Monica that I want cleared up.

If Cyclops/Magneto/Xavier actually have an impact on the story like Wolverine in the last Deadpool movie then cool.

If it's just Multiverse of Madness redux. pass

Which does not mean I have to like the fact that they've been doing so. I never said this was the first I've heard of it.

Now, that I didn't mind (aside from the physically nonsensical alternates like the world made of paint or whatever), because it established its own alternate timelines in a way that arose out of the story it had to tell. I'm fine with a multiverse that serves the story. What I feel is overdone is creating a story to serve the multiverse -- or rather, using the concept of the multiverse as an excuse to indulge in nostalgia about decades-old movies and shows.

In an X-Men Universe.

There's no actual evidence that Monica ended up on Earth-100005.

There's also no actual evidence that the XMCU actors who are returning for Doomsday are playing their Earth-10005 characters

No actual evidence that they're not from 10005 as well, and the simplest explanation is usually the correct one.

Bucky: Wait a tick. Nick, are these X-Men from Earth-10005 or are they from Earth-17315 or is that a branched reality?

[goes cross-eyed]

Bucky: Oh, no, I've gone cross-eyed.

Nick: I suggest you don't worry about those things and just enjoy yourself.

[to camera]

Nick: That goes for you all, too.

Bucky: Yes.

The most surprising thing there is an American character saying "Wait a tick."

It took a long time to get to a place where I actually like the MCU as an IP, so forgive me for being angry that it's sliding back into being a shitpile.

Why? The MCU has great from the start. Well relatively great. It's been lots of fun for sure. With many terrific characters. It's only gone stale post Endgame with the number of failures increasing and fewer hits. The irony is Wilson as Captain America has been the lead on one of the good post-Endgame stories in the tv show and also the lead in one if it's bad one, in the last movie. I will say he as a character was good, even in the bad movie he was the star but I think it's been sort of proven at this point is that the character can't carry a movie but can carry a tv series.
