Before even reading the article, I guessed that Ulysses Klaue was originally supposed to be Kraven, and the article essentially confirms it, with Coogler intimating that Serkis was set to play the role.
No, Kraven was going to be a third villain alongside Klaue and Killmonger. It's a shame we didn't get to see that, since it's pretty much guaranteed to have been better than what Sony did with the character.

True but I don't see any room for the character in Black Panther and the film is perfect as is.

Between my outrage at the decision to bring back Chris Evans and a general frustration with knowing that nothing is seemingly going to matter in three years if reports about what's going to happen post-Secret Wars are true, I'm rather quickly getting tired of the MCU again, which is unfortunate given that I'm in the middle of a Character Marathon that's supposed to culminate in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again and that I was tentatively planning on following with a (re)watch-through of the 'Wanda-verse'.

This whole thing seems so gimmicky. It's like Marvel no longer has faith in its ability to draw an audience and feels it has to pander to nostalgia.
I refuse to accept that nostalgia is a bad thing.

My only complaint is that these teasers are too short.
The movie isn't out for a year and Brand New Day comes out first (whose first full trailer is speculated to come out during the Super Bowl). I think these little teasers are fantastic as they are.

In general I agree with that. Obviously it depends on a case by case basis. It bugs me when nostalgia is used a blanket term for continuing the past. Often it basically equals ageism. The old actors need to retire or die. As people live longer and longer it’s not surprising are fiction mirrors that. Also the notions of what is considered nostalgia or not is very arbitrary and selective. Is celebrating holidays and birthdays nostalgia? Continuing traditions? I am not at all saying new ideas, performers, youth is bad. Western culture tends to worship those things more than “nostalgia”. These are big complicated ideas and I am not suggesting I have the answers but just creating questions. Than simplifying it as nostalgia is good or bad.

We will eventually get new actors to play the X-Men, probably countless. What is the harm of enjoying previous ones while they are still alive and vital and got underused in the past.

At this point I expect not much else. I am not a Marvel guy. Other than a few nice moments of interaction of previous Spider-Men - No Way Home was a complete mess. Best to appreciate the little moments we like. We have no control anyways. On any of this stuff.

I don't think bringing Chris Evans back is something to be upset about. Because the MCU hasn't been successful except for a few films after Endgame. Most viewers stopped watching after Endgame because most were watching for RDJ and Chris Evans. Captain America in Black didn't work from the start. The reboot after Secret Wars is a completely different matter. They'll probably completely change the cast, except for Tom Holland and a few other actors. After that, unless they bring in some truly compelling actors, it will be harder for the MCU to hold its own without the old cast.
