He already did a tiny little bit. Dick Hallorann is mentioned briefly in the novel "IT", which is why he's in "Welcome to Derry". (In an expanded role.)

Who knows, maybe he will revisit him at some point. Perhaps when he's sick of writing Holly Gibney stories. ;)

It's been a few decades since I read it, but it doesn't surprise as King is fond of dropping Easter Eggs throughout his novels going back to the 70s. Derry itself pops up a few times.

Wonder Woman: A model in a skimpy outfit who acts like a naive woman-child and is easily seduced by the first man she meets (and it the real hero of the story to boot). Wow, wonder why that worked out.

Emily Blunt: Second Banana to Tom Cruise.

Sweeney's repeated failures this year shows her Right Wing fanbase isn't enough to be Box Office success.

Which sort of highlights something I have noticed. For all their complaints about girl bosses I have noticed their real complaints tend to center around male characters. They don't like movies were male characters are seen as weak or don't perform traditional masculine roles. They love Ripley but the movies other characters are mostly male truck drivers. Second one is mostly male Marines and has Michael Beihn. Michael Beihn of course is also in Terminator with Sarah Connor and it also of course has Arnold.

These people are like lots of people I have noticed. Their tastes in entertainment tends to be limited and not well rounded. Which I know makes me sound like a snob and I don't like coming off as a snob but I am guessing most of these people complaining are not into art house films or musicals or have much variety tastes. They like a certain kind of movie or show, and just want more of them. Which to fair I don't even have major issues with. Some people seem to love reality tv junk and would not watch something like Pluribus if you payed them.

There's no such thing a "well rounded" entertainment tastes.

You do not seem like a snob, but you do come off as ill-informed to believe in "well rounded" tastes, as if you can define that.

Is FF worth watching?

The family aspect of the film is its strength. The rest is quickly forgettable and not at all the best adapted version of the Fantastic Four concept. That title belongs to Hanna-Barbera's 1967 animated series, the first and last adaptation to come closest to the source.

Normally my response would be 'watch it and decide for yourself' and that will be my basic response here again.
Having said that.... I don't go the movies often, I pick my battles. It was between Superman and FF. My friend and I decided to go for FF. We enjoyed it a lot, it's a fun movie to be sure. In hind sight, I wish I had seen Superman on the big screen.
I feel a lot was left on the cutting room floor, and the movie could have worked better with about 10 minutes more of footage giving it a better flow and sense of time passing. That is its biggest flaw I feel.

I feel like nothing really advanced for the characters and we were just witnessing one of their many fantastic adventures in their own universe

They all end up the same by the end of the movie.

Ben Grimm doesn't change as a character at all. He's just the straight guy to Johnny's antics. He grows a beard. That's all

I think you can go in pretty much cold when jumping into "Doomsday" without really needing any more details about the fantastic four
