Lifelong Trek Collection for Sale

I have been a fan of Star Trek since TOS was in its original production broadcast run. I began my collection with clippings from newspapers and TV Guides. Ha. Those were the days.

Anyway, my wife and I are moving to Tennessee in 2026-2027, and I need to thin out my Star Trek collection. My home office is clogged and I have ~20 tubs in storage. Is there a place online where I can post photos with descriptions and offer items for sale or donation? Is there a Star Trek fan/museum/library that would like to receive some of these items? They may be trash to some, but treasures to others. My current plan is to go through it all and sort it by series.

I would appreciate your kind suggestions and comments.

One thing you might do is buy a table at a local SF Con and sell your treasures to people who might feel the same way about them, but I haven't priced dealer's room tables in 30 years, so no clue on the cost.

ADMINS!! Do we have a classifieds section?

Most Trek stuff is not as valuable as collectors hope.
But in this case at least, OP seems fairly aware of how mercurial sales of Trek collections can be.

"for sale or donation" "trash to some, but treasures to others".

I have been pretty successful selling my ridiculously large Transformers collection on eBay. I find that other sites simply don't have the clout that eBay has. The only issue is that they take a whopping 13% of your sales.

Hey, I also have a ridiculously large Transformers collection.

Oddly enough, Transformers seem to sell great on eBay, even a loose, recent boring mainline guy still usually goes for over original retail.

Other than a few items here and there, Trek stuff just doesn’t seem to go for much. I don’t know if there’s just more of it to satisfy a smaller buyer’s market or what. I have noticed that in the last few years the TOS stuff has been going for pennies on the dollar. I sort of wonder if it comes from OG fans who have died and their families are just shoveling everything out. About 2-3 years ago I got a complete set of the TOS photo novels (all but one in VG condition) for around $25-30 shipped. I feel like 25 years ago those would have sold for like $20 each.

I wouldn't mind a complete set. I have three of the books. Maybe sell them here?
