Actually, a common complaint about the TNG movies is that they often felt like padded out TV episodes presented on the theatre screen. Which is especially true of Generations and Insurrection.

That's actually one of the reasons Insurrrection is one of my favorite movies, I liked that it felt lie a 2hour episode with a bigger budget. I like Generations too, but nowhere near as much as Insurrection.

ETA: You know I just realised something; the Buff Hutt (whomever he turns out to be) spoke Basic! That seems like a first for live action. High ranking Hutts generally don't lower themselves to speak anything other than Huttese (though they understand basic just fine), Ziro being the only real outlier. Lower ranking Hutts are another matter of course, and we've seen a few that do speak basic (most Resistance and the Lego animations leap to mind.)

Didn't the Hutts all speak Basic in Clone Wars? Or was it just Ziro? I could have sworn in that scene with the whole council, or family, or whatever, they were all speaking Basic. I had assumed they always had the Hutts speak in Basic in all of the animation to make it easier for any kids watching to follow.

They also used DS9 uniforms in Generations!

Literally, they were actually wearing the DS9 actor's costumes. I can't remember for sure, but I think Jonathan Frakes wore Avery Brooks, and Brent Spiner wore Colm Meany's but I can't remember for sure.

Of course, one of the reasons they look so good is the changes made to the VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray versions. I think they used the same locations as Discovery in Star Trek Section 31.

I would be more surprised if they didn't, as far as I know it was the same production team filming in the same place, so it would make sense. And that's not unheard of, I believe they used the exact same cave set from early TNG all the way through to the end of Enterprise, just with a few minor tweaks so it wasn't instantly recognizable.

They did, and also made him a bit more unpleasant than classic Marvel Jaxxon. Haven’t seen him on screen yet, though.

The regular version, they have the LEGO version in Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past.

They put Crimson Jack in the ST era for some reason. I would prefer Crimson Jack to be Jod.

Well whats a TV movie now? Most of the movies on the Netfilx have as big or bigger budgets than theatre released movies, not like them olden days where it was TV budget or "DVD release" Most have 4k 55 inch+ tv's in there living room, you have to be better.. whey an episode of SNW cost 10 mil +

Nah, as you can see it was just Ziro; all the others were speaking huttese.

Other than Rotta, I think the only canon immature Hutt I can think of is Churo from some of the middle grade High Republic books. In his case I don't think his actual age is ever stated, but he's characterised as being the equivalent of a young teen and depicted as being about the same height as a humanoid adolescent. Which doesn't help much since that means he could be 10, or he could be 100. Indeed, for all we know Rotta was already in his 30's in TCW.
All that to say they're pretty much free to just go with whatever they need to for the story.

There are still a few channels like Halmark and Lifetime that still do tons of TV movies. I haven't watched anything on Syfy in ages, so I don't know if they still do their Syfy Original Movies. Depending on your definition of TV movies, I think there have been a few documentary movies from National Geographic that have premiered on their channel.

Oh, I remembered wrong, maybe I was thinking of something else then. You said the Hutts in the LEGO stuff speak English? Maybe that's what I was thinking of then.
