Honestly, that "as himself" joke kind of bugs me, because I think Grogu's puppeteers and his voice artist David Acord deserve as much credit as Pascal, who mostly plays Din as a voiceover role over Brendan Wayne & Lateef Crowder's suit performances. I'm always picky about wanting everyone to get proper credit for their work.
I tend to think of this as "Super Happy Fun Time with Grogu and Old Man"
Cool, I'll watch it in theatres. Nice fun family movie.

The retro logo is interesting, More Indy than Star Wars.

Rumor mill anticipated the trailer dropping on the day that news about Kimmel happened. Further supposed insider info says Disney sat on the trailer for a week so it wouldn't be overshadowed.
Because no one wants to support Disney when they're being craven, bootlicking cowards.
I love all of the alien creatures, the both practical puppets and the Harryhausen-esque stop-motion effects. That alone has me super excited!
Then there's Sigourney Weaver, already making enemies with the galaxy by withholding the snack bowl from Grogu!
And Zeb kicking ass!

Above all else, it looks like damn fun. That's all I want and it looks like that's what we'll be getting in spades.

The people who were quick to cry "boycott Disney" now look even more foolish give.n that Kimmel's"indefinite" hiatus lasted all of 5 days, but that's what a knee-jerk reaction will do.
On the contrary, the boycott movement caused Disney to lose $3.8 billion dollars overnight and that massive public outcry is what pressured Disney to reinstate the show (as just announced).
But, sure, go ahead and believe that nonsense.

The Mandarilon looks the same as the TV series. old There used to be visual and narrative differences between works that transitioned from television to theater. For example, look at the old Star Trek TV series and the old Star Trek movies. Now, with the exception of a few productions, all works that transitioned from television to theater look the same.
Well there was quite a gap between TOS and TMP. OTOH, There was no real gap between TNG and GEN and GEN used a lot of TV assets. The assets from FC filtered into DS9 and VOY.
That's because the production values for television have improved to the point of being competitive with feature films.
Also, the old Trek movies are a bad example, since aside from the first one, they were made for fairly modest budgets by feature standards. The Wrath of Khan was even considered as a television movie at first, which is why they hired TV producer Harve Bennett to do it. TWOK and TSFS just benefited from getting to reuse the expensive sets, models, and stock footage from TMP, making them look a lot better than they would have otherwise.
