I imagine some people aren't going to like the revelation of Thing's mysterious origin. Not because of the origin itself (which I liked) but for simply answering that mystery at all. I don't have a problem with it because, much like
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, every iteration in every media is going to have a different interpretation of the characters and I find that refreshing and revelatory. Besides, Thing reminds who they are regardless of the mystery and that matters the most to me.
Perhaps the season had a little too much going for it but I think everything played out well enough. I imagine a rewatch will demonstrate that each of the storylines were well laid out and I think that's especially true for Issac's story. I loved the tragedy of the Night family even if Isaac turned out to be coldhearted bastard, but really, we had plenty of forewarning from the onset.
I'm actually glad Dort's grand scheme was exactly that: A scheme. And such a perfect way to go out. They had to continue the Nevermore tradition! Now to speculate who (actor wise) will become fill the shoes of the principal next season.
I'm glad Agnes is finally find herself by becoming, in Enid's words, her own psycho. I know most people here haven't liked her but I've greatly enjoyed her creepy nature and I hope we continue to see the weird dynamic of the three young ladies (forgive me, Wednesday, musketeers!).
But in the end, Wednesday's and Enid's friendship has always been the best part of the whole show and I love the climax of this season hinges on that relationship. I cannot wait to see how Wednesday is able to track down her (yes!) best friend and save her.
Lastly, I was wrong about the identity of Frances O'Conner's character but I'm glad that I was right that Ophelia is indeed alive. I just didn't expect where she was...or what her intentions appear to be. I can only hope and pray Carol Kane plays her.
