Honestly I prefer this more subdued version compared to what Gunn created

This is barely an outline for a scene.

I just watched the movie again. The dialogue throughout is knife-sharp, and this extended scene is a high point in the film.

Two recent MCU Spider-Man films have entered the chat...
Spider-Man No Way Home made nearly 2 billion. That was 4 years ago now. Its budget was only 200 million. There will be occasional billion dollar films for popular characters loke Spider-Man or Deadpool but lets admit it Marvel has had a string of movies that made no profit. Warner Bros had a ton in the last few years. Yeah Superman will pull a profit but not as huge profit. Let's hope the second one will get to the billion dollar mark.

Maybe it had something to do with the return of Maguire and Garfield that they made such a huge profit

And they brought back all the old villains too, which was another big attractor

Wait...... The studios were right when they thought people would pay for memberberries and nostalgia??

I am shocked! SHOCKED!!!

The world has been in a constant state of fucked up for about 6 years now. Of course people are gonna pay for things that make them think about happy moments. We are all collectively dumb like that.

Certainly, the Gunn movie was not the kind of movie to ever approach a billion. It did not have that kind of appeal, even if it were released in the pre-decline years of superhero movies.

I think youre right. Supes isnt a billion dollar man.
Orange is a cancer.
Ah. Ok. Agent Orange? Nasty chemical. I think its mostly banned now. Some countries still might use it.
