Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

Obviously True Fans won't.

;)

Never quite got that to be honest. There's a new version of the show they like being made, but the old stuff they like and enjoy is still easily available.

Unless Paramount decided to go back and reshoot TNG to make it "match" with Discovery, and then simultaneously delete the old version and try and destroy all copies of it... it'll always be there.

That knowledge is the key to avoid incandescent fury involving media franchises, but I guess some folk like riding the rage train too much.

The mere existence of the new shows threatens the fragile ego of these Talifans that won’t understand Trek has to evolve for new generations if it is to continue.

I'll chuckle when I'm old and they come up with a new show as a Captain April with a young Lt. Commander Pike and those fans would get pissed if the new actor has so so hair.

It's been documented that Paramount sends ninjas to fans homes to steal all their pre-2009 Trek episodes, movies and merchandise as well as spray painting pro-Kurtzman propaganda on their walls.

I distracted the ninja sent to me with Blizzard swag.

I'll give them this: They've sure nailed down the member berry efficiency.

On no grounds whatsoever, I have decided the wall is a part of a team quiz. You get a list of memorable events and a longer list of names. You have to match the events with the correct person(s). No artificial assistance.

The actual episode will be yet another examination of what constitutes "artificial" and what constitutes "personhood" when the team that comes second appeals the result on the grounds the winning team had a hologram as a member.

There will be much footage from previous shows where this concept is debated. Overall, this will be derided as "memberberries" and/or "a cynical attempt to promote older shows to a younger demographic" and/or "a clip show"

she was an ensign at the time of her death.
Yeah I know, and she's listed as an ensign on the wall. I'm responding to Finn's want of them promoting her to full lieutenant after she died.

I don't know why not, I'm asking if they do. Or I guess more specifically, have we ever seen any indication that they do?

This isn't a gotcha, I'm legitimately asking.

you mean apart from it would normally be a single rank i.e ensign - Lt. JG not 2 ranks ensign to Lt.

Then again it's Star Trek where you can go from cadet to captain in the space of a movie :)
