True. At least in the olden days Alderaan and Kryptonite were on illegible graphics as were the ship as well as some ship names that were just in jokes, same with dedication plaques. It does boggle the mind why people running memory alpha consider them canon.

My knee-jerk reaction to that image was annoyance, but I'm thinking now that the framing of it doesn't actually preclude the fact that he did come home. For all we know the course ends with the instructor revealing that:
Sisko did die in the fire caves.
Sisko did live on in the celestial temple.
Sisko did return from there to help raise his child with Kasidy.
"Alderaan" was very much legible. I spotted it immediately on my first viewing of A Man Alone.

I think someone here once pointed out the possibility that the DIS series premiere counts 24 Klingon Great Houses possibly because the writers read and took too seriously a previous version of a Memory Alpha page with wording that vaguely implied there were always and only 24.
Ensign Sito Jaxa being on the list would seemingly ruin that theory though. Plus the Red Squad are listed with their field ranks, which they did not get until their Valiant sojourn, after which came death.
